(FOS 2015) Blazing Hearth

Finn adds his applause to the chorus that congratulates the winning team. It didn't hurt that one of the victorious participants had been conversing with the group earlier, and that he had talked with Gregory a few times since coming to the Freehold. Not that he would have minded the Blue Team winning, but that was for completely different reasons...

Once the excitement began to ebb away and the contestants had a chance to catch their breath, the words of the Summer King fill the Court. It takes the Fairest a fair few moments to digest the coming changes to the Freehold; Finn standing quietly as he ponders the ramifications of Freehold-wide appointments as his eyebrows knit in frustration. He was all for democracy in the Courts; but one of the corner stones of Changeling society was the balance of the Seasons. Each had a time to rule before fading into the background for another year; he could only wonder how the other Courts would react if any one gained a disproportionate representation of positions...

Either way, he'd leave that up to the more politically minded among the Freehold; right now he had to get his votes in. He nods at Lynn's and Morgan's words, considering them the official end of the night's storytelling. He's about to head over, when a curious idea strikes him. He turns back to Autumn Courtier with a hint of a smile that replaces the slight scowl that had come over him at the announcement. He reaches a hand out to the Steepscrambler, offering her his arm.

"I think it's fair to say you've had your fair share of libations tonight, Morgan. Care for a steadying hand on the way over?"@Origins

Morgan had an inkling of whom she should go and vote for and figured she might as well get to it. First, she'd have to get up, but if only the room...atrium...Hollow, that was the word. Only if the Hollow wasn't so wobbly. Proof of Finn's comment was evidenced when Morgan tried standing and did wobble quite a bit before sitting down.

It was great fortune that an Irish gentleman offered her a solution that avoided face planting by tripping over her own feet. Morgan giggled, "Liber-libations tis a fun word," and then shook her head to focus. She offered her hand to Finn, "Lead on mmmm-good sir, heh. Ye are the gentleman."

"Well," Daniel said resolutely "I'll think I'll go cast my ballot and then head home. It's been a pretty exciting night."

He gently nudged Morgan as she went with Finn. "And I for one think you would make a great Steward," he said with complete sincerity and support. He wasn't sure how many others would think that but to Daniel, a leadership position with Morgan in it would be well filled. It might even help her to see her own worth.

Daniel goes to cast his votes and then exits the scene.
