Chuck's reaction to Bridger's transformation was one of apprehension. Surely it was effective to dissuade the metal bellied beast before them, but what other implications may come of it? Nevertheless he wasted no time in attempting to take after the bear.

It is true though, that Chuck was more comfortable sitting on a seat instead of trying to lumber over one. Despite his increased size and agility he managed to make little progress catching up to the escaping beast.

Like his comrades Chris makes absolutely no progress towards catching up to the fleeing bear. If not for the short comings of the others he would have felt even worse about falling behind and now that the bear was running instead of attacking and had also managed to gain some ground on them, Chris felt his instincts fading, giving away to more rational thought. Still he was just as determined to not let the beast get away.

Frustrated that their prey was getting away Chuck threw everything he had into catching up with the beast only to be met with more impossible to climb chairs. He snarled in anger as he flailed at the seating.

Time was running out, the bear was getting away, so far only Chuck had managed to overcome the steps, why was something so simple so difficult for them in this world? He didn't have time to deeply consider it, Chris summons his resolve and throws himself at the steps once again, this time taking care to be more nimble about his foot placement.

The bear continues to climb even higher, and the pack has lost track of the ground as they fumble their way up the steps at a slow rate, not able to keep up with the bear.

And then the bear hits its stride, and is nearly lost to the pack
