At the sight of the bear Bridger's whole attitude changes. They're no longer safe and this is his chance to prove to Chuck he'll fight for the pack. Instinctually he pushes his essence through him and transforms into his near-human form. He feels the change really before it happens and then he is as he should, what he feels is his true form, well almost true form. He charges at the bear, growling as he put his full body into his attack.

The sight of the formidable bear spirit didn't seem to phase Chuck at all. He immediately began moving forward even as his form shifted. Beast would meet beast as his hands turned to massive furry paws and his jaw elongated and sharp teeth extended.

He threw himself at the beast trying to rip into his spirit-flesh with his teeth.

The bites of Bridge glance harmlessly off of the bear's armored claws. Chuck's bite penetrates, but not deeply, the hide is thick and bitter metal. It crunches like layered foil under his teeth.

The bear looks at Bridger, and retaliates, his armored claws shredding the wolf.

At first Chris can only stand there and watch as his two pack mates did the unthinkable. Upon seeing the impeading threat they faced it head on, fuck standing their ground, they shifted and ran directly for the bear. Chris on the other hand remained shackled to the ground by fear, though self preservation seemed like a perfectly logical reason to not want to go charging head first into danger but it only took a few moments to realize that simply opting out was not going to be an option. The bear tears into Bridger like he was nothing.

Chris wasn't safe her, especially not in this form, but what was he going to do? Sure maybe Bridger could survive a hit like that, but if Chris had been in his place he knew it would be over for him. Panic accelerates his heart as he battles with his will to make a move, any move. He locks his focus onto Chuck, his alpha, he sees him shift to a near wolf state and use his powerful jaws to inflict damage onto the beast. Instinctively Chris mimics the Alpha, it's the only thing he can manage.

He takes a few hesitant steps forward while calling on his own spirit to make the change, thankfully being face to face with actual danger made the urgency of shifting far greater, that alone was enough to push him over the edge and make for the easiest shift he's ever experienced.

Once in the Urshul skin his instincts kick in even further, telling him how he should move, telling him to stay low to the ground to avoid an over head strike. He even tries to stay behind Chuck and out of the bears field of view as much as possible, only choosing to go in for a bite when he feels that Chuck has the bears full attention.

With the bear's attention on Bridger, Chuck renewed his efforts to bite through the thick armor covering the beast. He could only hope it would stay focused on the other wolf as he left himself open to force his teeth in further.

Just barely Bridger kept his mind. The hit was painful, and he could tell he hadn't done much in the way of harming his enemy. How could he let some spirit bear harm him like this? His anger raised and he let it flow through him, fueling his rage until he transformed into his true form. He was now the monster he felt at times. With his massive claws and teeth he lunged at the bear biting into it with all he had.

Bridger's teeth rip into the chest of the bear, and there is a horrific shredding noise, like someone tearing a steel girder in half, as the bear's chest cavity is exposed, revealing an assortment of metalic arms and armor. Swords, shields, a pauldron, and a pair of revolvers seem to make up the bear's innards.
The noise brings exultation to Bridger, and he roars in triumph!

The bear spirit, realizing whats going on, turns and runs.

Chris gets an attack against the bear, and then next round we begin foot chase rules.

    2015-07-24 00:54:07 Chris Jenson rolls 8 to Bite Da Bear (Str+Brawl+Bite) : Targeting a leg (10 Again) 5, 4, 6, 8, 2, 7, 5, 1 1 success

Chris is more than impressed at the might of Bridger, seeing him go from man, to wolf like creature, to full on bestial warrior was astonishing. With one motion he rips into the bear and reveals it's strange innards. Chris holds back his attack only briefly, fascinated with what he was seeing. When the bear turns around however it triggers another instinctive action within the pup. The prey was attempting to flee causing Chris to lundge forward hoping to clamp down on the bears leg or ankle. He had no hopes of being able to hold the beast down but it was what his body told him to do.

Chris is targeting the bears leg, which I know imposes a penalty. I'll let you tell me if he lands or not
