(1506) Viv and David

Smoothly, though slowly, David rises to his feet. The motions don't feel laborious, just resigned. Looking to Vivian, the Mekhet offers, “If you'd like, I could walk you out.” Unconsciously, David begins the process of rolling up his sleeves. Neat little folds that turn over, under, and up his forearm. Eyes turn from Vivian towards the ascent to the real world and away from the Elysia where time stands still.

“You are right, you know,” David says, turning back to Daeva. “It takes one person. The bravest of us all, maybe.” The Shadow Priscus lets that statement linger as he waits to see if Vivian will take him up on his offer.

If Vivian didn’t know the Mekhet better, she’d think he was preparing for something sinister outside. She was pretty positive there wasn’t a motive. “Yes, I would enjoy that if it’s no trouble.” Although she wasn’t sure if he was the escorting type or just the side by side sort of man.

“Yes, it could produce the butterfly effect. It’s happened many times through history as you well know.” The Daeva turned toward the exit of the Elysium and looked to David, ready to take his arm or just contently walk with him. “A breeze can make wind, or however that cliché goes.” Chuckling gently, hopefully leaving the evening on more of an upbeat note.

Maybe one day I’ll actually make him laugh a little more.

“No, no trouble,” David assures as he offers an arm now that his sleeves have been rolled.
