Lynn grinned and pulled out one last balloon.

"Well then. I shall oblige us all!" She carefully popped the balloon and dusted a stream of crimson across Gregory's shoulders. "If the two of you shall come with me, we shall fetch more ammunition from.... The Kitchen!"

Turning on the ball of one foot, Lynn dashed across the garden, waving at Violet LeBlanc as she went past. "We need more cupcakes!" As she drew closer to the kitchen, she suddenly realized how unusual it was that Mrs. Rosemary hadn't joined in the festivities.

"Mrs. Rosemary! You're missing all . . . . the . . . ." Lynn drew to a sudden stop as she took in the messy kitchen and Coco inspecting it. "What's going on?"

Morgan followed but hesitated upon spotting Coco. She didn't know what her motley mate and her friend had argued about, but really hoped it wouldn't get that bad again. Then there was the state the kitchen was in. And also what it was lacking, "Um, w-w-where tis q-Mrs Rosemary? D-d-did she depart? Is..."

Morgan also took note of the spillage upon the floor and the footprint. She pointed at said odd footprint, "Heh I d-don't recalls seeing fffolks with feet like ah that. Uh," she looked at the others present, "D-do anybody smarter, kinda-everybody, recall ssseeing a courtier with t-that," she pointed again to the footprint, "sort-tah foot-erm-feet, feet, heh, probably feet."

In her defense, a one legged changeling with a foot that shape would be somebody she would remember.

The Fairest had remained near the back entrance, eager to see what Coco could find. Once Morgan and Gregory were invited in though he silently followed behind his fellow courtier.

"The shape and size of one's footprint mean nothing." Milo said as he approached the group. Eyes met Coco's before returning his attention to Morgan. "Masking that aspect of one's passage is a fairly simple trick. What matters is where the footprints go."

The Lurker's gaze fell to the floor and the footprint, intending to follow, if only he had any idea how...

Morgan could see that the reason there was only one footprint was because only one shoe went into the small pile of flour by the counter.*

The only significance of the footprint was that there were no treads on the soul.

Mien: Coco's eyes are split into four facets that give a kaleidoscope appearance to her irises and two delicate antenna are perched on her forehead. Her nails are also like pieces of black carapace.

    Additional Identifying Features:
A tattoo of a jeweled wasp sits perched atop a thick and gnarled white "branch" that stretches several inches upwards from her left wrist, though the branch is clearly a scar.

A tattoo of a frayed, torn, and dirty golden banner trails around her right wrist, with another long scar forming the "mounting" for the banner.

"And such has become very important," Coco murmured, rising from the crouch she'd assumed to facilitate the study of the telltale footprint. She turned slowly to face the other courtiers that had grouped near her, her faceted eyes tracking first to Lynn, then the autumnal man, and finally to her nemesis. Alas, she had no time for such petty things at the moment. Nay, there was no time for anything but the pursuit of whatever had happened here, and the means to undo it!

"Indeed, we have the presence of something that should not be here and the absence of something...no, someone that should be here. This can only mean one of several things, I fear, and all of them are most dire," Coco illuminated, expression grim, right hand flexing upon the handle of her cane. "Most likely, Mrs. Rosemary is in danger. So! All who are here now, I charge you, in the name of the Freehold, with helping me!" she declared suddenly, left hand thrusting out to point at the other courtiers.

"Now, Morgan! Courier by trade! Go and carry a message to the nearest Summer you can find* ! Tell them that their prowess in battle might be needed, and to follow you. As for you, Lynn!" Coco continued to order, turning to face the violinist. "Inform the Queen that Mrs. Rosemary is missing and that evidence of intrusion has been found here. Do so quietly, and just to her ears alone so that she might inform the others as she sees fit. As Monarch, that is her right. As for...you," she went on, gesturing to Milo, "you shall aid me with searching for more clues until the others return. Also, tell me your name."

Hunching over, the man appears in his forties if not older. His hair is disheveled, his expression bizarre between glee or malice. His frame is thin and clothes ragged or stained, smelling worn and unwashed.

His skin is gray like stone and his features more exaggerated, his eyes more set apart. Wings curl around his shoulders, unusable but expressive, as is his short tail. Horns adorn his brow and curl along the contour of his skull. He is what many would describe to be a gargoyle.

A newly colored Gregory follows after the crowd forming by the kitchen. Between the mutterings and speculation, Cosima's voice cuts clearly through it all in a bold announcement. Something has happened to Mrs. Rosemary? Under the very nose of the Spring Court? How could this happen? Such questions resound in the Gargoyle's mind, but there is no point in asking when there are no answers to be found at present.

"Indeed, Milo," agrees Gregory as the man inspects the footprints while searching for a trail. "Best to follow if there be anything to find."

Gregory's perceptions may not yield much information, but perhaps it could lead them far enough to discover another clue in this mystery.

Morgan blinked at the command, tearing her mind away from trying to study the tracks, and just nodded her head. The Twilit Page quickly made her way back to party. She only stopped to retrieve the single knife she'd brought along (just in case) before she found a Summer. She skidded to a stop in front of Ramona hands waving excitedly, "Um heh-hello-hi friend Ramona. Um, t-t-there tis sssome problem-trouble-bads in the kitchen. T-t-the-fuck-it-don't-know-her-title, a Ssspring officer w-would like a Sssummer there to-to help just in case...Ano-and ye be the first I founds, heh."

Morgan points towards the kitchen, "C-can ye please come and help?" If Ramona is willing to go the jumpy Autumn will lead the way. Enroute, the Autumn will offer the Summer the throwing knife: "Only heh-has the one. If-if ye heh-has to fight t'would be better then kitchen knife."

ooc:a throwing knife stats as a regular dagger in melee.

While the others have been investigating, Ramona has been continuing to wage chromatic war, but she also is quickly running out of ammunition. Indeed, Morgan has to dodge a quick sling of powder to her shirt as she skids to a stop in front of the Summer courtier, focused as she is on evading the colorful payloads of others and delivering her own. This isn't a competition? Really? When you're throwing things at people, and having things thrown at you, adrenaline answers all too quickly. The shock of impact, the thrill of a successful hit. The weapons may not be harmful, and the intention playful, but at it's root this is combat. Which is part of why she hasn't taken a shot at the Spring Sovereign yet. No fun striking someone who's not striking back, who's asking to be struck even. Not unless it's necessary.

Her next shot at the Autumn Courier is halted when she notices Origins hands flashing up and waving. It takes a moment to switch gears from combat to conversation. Morgan's halting speech pattern doesn't especially help. None the less, before Morgan is finished speaking, Ramona is walking with her back towards the kitchens. She grabs a rag off the buffet table, trying to wipe the worst of the paint off her face, scalp, neck, and arms. She's still coated with green and yellow and red and orange, but that can't really be helped. Her eyes narrow at the offer of a dagger. Whatever's going on, it's serious for Morgan to be offering her a lethal weapon. She takes it by the handle with a nod, "Thanks." She considers heading out to her truck for the gear she keeps there, but no, this seems urgent. She can retrieve it later if she needs it.

She arrives in the kitchen with little fanfare, quickly sidestepping along the wall beside the door frame. There she pauses, examining the scene. "Mrs. Rosemary?" She asks the room, no one in particular.

Gregory’s stony eyes saw bits of flour in the dining room. The direction inconclusive... but... maybe a small hint of something.

Lynn nodded briefly to Coco and turned away, back to the Garden. As requested, she made her way calmly and quietly over to where Violet was standing, stopping only when she was close enough to be private.

"My Lady," she murmured. "We have trouble. Mrs. Rosemary is missing from the kitchen and there seems to be signs of a struggle. Coco is taking charge for the moment and has already requested the aid of any Summer that happen to be here," she nodded at Ramona as the woman passed them. "And I believe she is currently searching for any clues as to what may have happened." She paused, clearly waiting for her Sovereign's orders, whatever they might be.
