Several bowls laid around the table set up near her apartment's front door, some with candy brought on her shopping spree with Rick, the rest with large and fresh pieces of fruit. It was strange, but some kids preferred an apple or orange instead of chocolate these days.

I blame the parents, Terri thought as she puts up the remaining decorations on her front door. Terri knew that several children lived in the same building as she did, and wanted to ensure they had a few treats when they came knocking, as well as a few tricks to keep them on their toes. She looks at the second table hidden behind the door laden with various pranks including a bowl of full water bombs, cans of silly-string and even one rotten egg for that girl from apartment 12. She terrorized the other kids and it was about time for this little fairy to turn the tables.

As Terri bustled along busily, she caught a glimpse of herself in the full length mirror and smiled. She was wearing the Tinkerbell costume that she had also bought with Rick and was secretly excited about seeing him later. Looking around the hall, Terri thought everything was in place and picked up an apple and took a bite, feeling suddenly very hungry, her stomach rumbling loudly.

As she was chewing, Terri couldn't help but notice how bitter the apple tasted in her mouth and looking down, Terri spotted a worm wriggling in the apple, half gone. With a sudden realization, she spat out the half-masticated morsel and ran to the bathroom, heaving. After a few minutes Terri emerged once again looking quite pale. With a fierce determination, she picked up the bowl of fruit and tossed it in the garbage.

Screw being nice, little bastards can have rotten teeth.
