Aryana notes the big black wolf being very close on her. Clearly, it was close enough to be a threat. Letting out a throat rending roar, she turns and prepares to rip it to shreds! Though, of course, she does not do it particularly fast. At that size, nothing is done fast.

Jean catches up to the fleeing Garou. He had to catch her and hold her off for others to come up and keep her from killing others. Ary wasn't welcoming to Jean, but she was family, and family took care of family. Unfortunately this family member was a lunatic willing to tear anyone apart to get away. It put the entire Uratha population in the area at risk as well as the humans in the area.

It has to be done, Jean has to bring her down and darts in to claw at the raging garou. At the very least he might be able to catch her attention long enough for the others to catch up. Then again having the attention of a Garou isn't exactly the best way to survive your first night in a new city.
