"It's just a beer. Frank grumbles. He eyes Gregory for moment, something approaching a smirk on his face. "You should listen to your friend." He seems more than a little amused that Gregory is the one apologizing, and soon he's turned in his chair to face the odd crew.

"Yeah. Frank..." His attention drifts briefly to Tally. He huffs derisively. "How do you think they are?"

Dave shows up with Tessa's plate in time to catch the tail end of that. He sets it down in front of her and frowns at Frank. "No one's complained yet." he answers, turning back towards the tap. Without looking behind him, he adds "Well, Joe might. If he ever ordered anything."

"It's Joseph." a voice calls out, calmly from the side of the bar with the booths.

Can you each please roll Wits+Composure?

"Decent." Tally replies after Dave's comment, feeling a bit flustered at how rude she must have come across. Then she decides to place an order before Dave leaves, "Can I please get a bud light?"

She turns as someone speaks.

Gregory is pleased that the man, Frank, doesn't say anything to further provoke Nathan. The Gargoyle knows that such a confrontation may well escalate. He relaxes and attempts to sip at his beer as conversation renews around them. They have come to drink and some to eat, and some to talk, and that is good enough for some.

He decided it right there. He didn't like Frank. He had half of a mind of standing up and showing him that just maybe he wasn't the toughest guy around, but Gregory's words brought a sliver of moderation back to him. A sliver, no more, and he visibly glowered at Frank's table as he drank from his Bud Light. Maybe because of that he was very much aware of his surroundings.

Joseph's voice alone is enough to give the four Changelings pause. It isn't normal. A whisper of something decidedly 'other' seems to echo from it - as if the man alone is speaking to them from inside a wide corridor. Tally and Tessa, turning, notice the man doesn't look precisely normal, either. An average looking, if very thin man with glasses that at first glance doesn't raise any alarms. Though as he looks back at them, smiling a tight-lipped smile, he looks entirely too thin. Not in a bony or unhealthy way. Just... thin. Like a picture of a normal looking man that had been warped and stretched out of proportion. Frank takes one look at Joseph and seems barely able to contain his distaste. He snorts derisively and turns back to his cup. Somehow, it seems this is likely due to a general dislike of the man rather than his strange appearance. The heavy smoker, still unna,ed, just rolls his eyes.

"Joseph. Fine." Dave doesn't seem to notice anything amiss about the man either. He shakes his head then turns to smile at Tally. "Sure thing." He turns to the back shelf on the bar and grabs another clean mug. A moment or two later, another perfectly poured beer is set on the counter. "Just let me know when you folks are finished. I've got a pretty keen memory." He taps the side of his temple, grinning. "Your tabs are all 'in here'."

Tally glances towards Dave as he mentions having a keen memory. He's not the only one. She muses to herself as she nods in acknowledgement.

Then, she once more turns towards Joseph, there's just... So, what now? She wonders as she considers what to say.

"So... you come here often, I take it? Joseph?" She inquires curiously.

[Gregory]

Gregory contemplates the aspect of a tab and wonders if it is something he can or should use. One could drink more and pay later. But with Gregory there is no guarantee that later will ever come. Better to have his one drink off his few crumpled bills. But the temptation remains.

This Joseph however, concerns Gregory, who is quite cautious and quite certain he hasn't seen the man before. Their strange voice and appearance makes him wonder if he aught to perform a Kenning. But if he used a Kenning every time he saw someone who looked weird he'd be exhausted before the week's end. Sometimes people just didn't look or sound right and that is the end of it. But he kept one large eye on the man.

Tally is the first to address the stranger, making some small talk.

Meanwhile Tessa begins to chat up the disagreeable Frank.

Gregory is content to drink his beer, glad that he isn't being pulled into conversation that would interrupt the introduction of alcohol into his system.
