(1504) Gangrel Clan Meeting

"Well, if it were up to me, I'd say avoid violence if at all possible. Seeing as that's not always possible, I'm totally onboard with being prepared. That Mekhet woman, the one who won the Monomacy, Whip slash Deputy, if you can find a way to get her indebted to you I wouldn't be surprised if she could teach you a whole lot of martial arts stuff. All the other combatants this Domain had to offer are gone or dead now, except the Reeve. I could ask Edwin if he knows a thing or two about hand to hand just to stay in the know." Probably another reason not to give up the Protean so easily sing as the Gangrel could maintain an edge in combat situations.

Konrad folds his hands in front of him on the table and idly rubs his fingers together. "But yeah, Tenancy, no worries. Explaining it now means I don't have to do it again later for Acknowledgment. Basically it's my prerogative to grant it, meaning I'd ask you to prove your worth to the Domain, or just prove your worth to me and I give my okay. I pass that information onto the Reeve's Office and him and the Deputies don't burn down your Haven when they come across it in patrols. Truth is, I never got Tenancy myself so I haven't done any tasks to warrant it. But since you're interested, I'd ask you to establish yourself as an influential figure in the Domain to start. You know, just to make sure you're here to stay and not just passing through. Then on top of that if you follow through on your offer to help me out in keeping our Clan secure then that'd be good enough for me. Meaning any new Gangrel show up, you send 'em to me. Any threats make themselves known, you inform me. Even if they're not Gangrel, if you hear about someone looking for something they can't get on their own, send 'em to me and I'll cut a deal with them. That's the way I work."

"To summarize, be my eyes and ears and mouth and you get rewarded, simple as that. You being in a more influential position makes you more informed. But that doesn't mean you're my subordinate. I'm not your boss unless you want me to be. It's just a little give and take and everyone wins out in the end."

“Thank you, and I will remember that the position is at your discretion.” She respected his words, not many would have the guts to tell someone that. “And yes, firearms.” She didn’t like to get up close and personal unless she had to.

She remembered Bobcat, and wouldn’t lie, knowing he picked a fight with someone who kicked his ass made her happy. He had a big mouth, and it was bound to catch up with him at some point. But she does take note of the Mekhet Whip and how deadly she appeared to be.

A quick shake of her head, “Nope, no affiliations.” Which was how she liked it. “I’ll take you up on that offer, it will be good to have faces and names. And your personal affiliation doesn’t affect my view or opinion of you.” She says with a shake of her head and a grin.

Looking to her pale skinned Cousin, “No worries here. You’ll probably come up with questions I overlooked.”

And getting someone who was clearly capable of defending and protecting herself indebted to her? That would take some careful planning. But she did see the benefit in it.

“Sounds straightforward and fair enough to me. Are there any Kindred I should try and steer clear off? Any trouble makers and all that.”

"Cool cool." Konrad nods, glad he doesn't have to repeat himself on anything.

"And if it interests you, Ale, the Carthians are getting together soon for a meeting. You're welcome to drop in on us just to check it out and hear what we're all about. We'll be meeting up at the Sterling Hotel at [Date & Time]."

"Now then, troublemakers, huh? Let me think. Josephine Sterling, the Ventrue Priscus. She's a bit nosy and sometimes takes it upon herself to interrogate newcomers. But the Reeve talked to her and I think things got worked out. I had a bit of a chat with her myself. She's Lancea Sanctum so...yeah. Not many troublemakers to be honest. Juan Cordoba, Edwin Bridges, they're good people. Vivian York's a friendly Daeva. And the Mekhet Priscus, David Regan, seems dependable. There's a few I don't know much about, and maybe one or two I haven't even met."

"Right, so, we all good to run through Acknowledgement?" Since he had answered all their other questions he decides to move forward with it.

"So, as I understand Acknowledgment, you get Communal Zone feeding rights, permission to take residence there, and protection at Elysium locations such as this nightclub we're currently in. It's revoked if you don't show up to Court two times in a row. Court is a good time to make connections and prove your usefulness, hint hint. I'll get you a map at some point so you can keep in mind the various feeding zones. Make sure you're not caught poaching in the Rack, the central downtown area, or any other Regencies. The only Regent I know of at present is Erika Brady of Citrus Heights. The rest are under the Prince's direct control. I'm going to bring up how one might acquire feeding rights to those locations at the next Prisci gathering, but it's my guess that the Prince personally hands out that kind of privilege."

"Next I read you the The Laws of the Domain, that you are expected to honor the Three Traditions, present yourself in Court, respect the Havens of others, participate in all active Bloodhunts, yadda yadda yadda."

"Now! With that in mind. Do you, Alessandra Antinori of the Unbound understand all that I have said to you and swear to abide by the Praxis of the most honorable and gracious Prince Asa Clarke and be loyal to him and his appointed Officers, etcetera etcetera?"

Konrad says as an aside, "If you need clarification on any points before answering just let me know, otherwise a 'yes' will suffice."

She still isn’t quite sure what she would gather from the meeting, “I’m always one to keep an open mind, though I wouldn’t be expected to join if I attend the meeting would I? Cause I’ve been Unaligned since my Embrace, and it’s not something I wish to rush into, or be pressured into. Not that I’m saying you would, I’m just stating my feelings.” She kept her tone respectful.

A note is made of the name. But she thought it would be fun to have the Ventrue Priscus try to interrogate her. Hearing there wasn’t many trouble makers was a good sign, though sometimes it was fun to watch them shot themselves in the foot.

Ah, Acknowledgement time! As she listens, it sounds to her like not much has changed as far as rules and Laws. But it was interesting there was currently only one Regent, and she wondered if the Prince was looking to fill any vacant spots? Something to look into and maybe work toward? The mention of bloodhunts brought a smile to her face, who wouldn’t want to participate in those?!

Oh, this was where she agreed to the Laws, “Si.” She replies with a single nod of her head.

"Nope, no expectations. We're pretty open about our practices, and we don't require you to abandon your own belief practices either. The basic idea is that we all just help each other out. It's a social experiment of sorts, but you'll just have to show up if you wanna know more. I've only been a member for a few months so I'm still learning myself."

"Cool. Alright. By the power invested in me by the Prince and the State of California, I hereby Acknowledge thee as a resident of the Domain of Sacramento. Go with God, and may you never see the light of day." He gestures a holy cross in the air. The remark is made with an expulsion of air that served as a chuckle. Konrad continues to remain lighthearted and jovial even, or maybe he just plays the fool.

"Oh, and congratulations on your new position as Whip, Ale." He takes out a couple of business cards from his pocket and hands them to the ladies. "My number. Ale, arrange a time for us to start that firing exercise. Maybe in a week or two. Other than that, meeting adjourned." Gee, I hope I get my own office now that I'm Priscus, he thinks to himself. This meeting room feels a bit too stuffy.

She has to smile at the whole making a cross thing, glad her Priscus had a sense of humor.

“Thanks.” She says as she accepts the business card. “I’ll start looking around for a range that fits our needs.” Shouldn’t be too hard.

And then Katya handed her a business card as well, “Looks like I should invest in business cards, I feel a little left out.” She says with a chuckle.

“Thank you! And I will take you up on that offer, I don’t know the city real well.” Plus it would give her a chance to get to know her better. She will then give her number to Katya, "And the same goes for both of you, if you need me, just call."
