The tornado howled as Morgan took a step closer, threatening to tear her apart for daring to enter the place that was not hers....the howling ceased. The tornado stuttered and faded. A figure, diminutive, svelte, glowing with pure energy fluttered into view from where the ward had been. It was neither male or female and with sapphire eyes, blinked at Morgan compassionately. Strange glyphs covered its body, glyphs that Marcus remembered from HAL's door he had used to open the doorway from his makeshift camp to the castle-hollow.

"Thank you," the ward said, softly, a voice cracking with energy. "You may enter." Floating aside on invisible current, it simply waited, it's task fulfilled. The wooden door beyond was like the rest of those within the castle.

Tension that Daniel hadn't realized he was holding onto drained away as Morgan's contract worked. It was a relief to not have Morgan picked up by a bound hurricane and flung across the room. The gravewight didn't think he would be able to stand giving the Aumtumn courtier final comfort.

There was still part him that thought that seemed just a little too easy. He wasn't even sure the slender energy being was talking to all of them or just Morgan. Still he took a hesitant step forward now that the wind was gone. There was still that other voice calling for help that they had heard.

"Might want to make sure the door is safe too," he said, keeping his tone even.

Lynn shrugged as she walked after Morgan. She would have helped with getting the other woman to the door, but she had moved too fast for that. Instead she simply hugged Morgan around the shoulders in congratulations at her successful attempt to break through the Ward.

"Well on the one hand, it'd be dangerous as hell to assume that anything HAL put together would be defeated that easily." She tapped her fingers on one hip. "On the other hand, this is in the heart of his former stronghold. Why would he think that he needed anything more to simply keep his Workshop safe? That could be the equivalent of a baby lock."

Morgan was taken aback by the gratitude of the "door." An automatic, "Ye art wel-welcome," just came out. It took a moment to process and the Twilit Page felt sick to her stomach. The door had been alive like "Port." Did the constant changing cause it torment? The shiver that took her could have been horror at, fear of, or rage at HAL.

Lynn's hug did help to calm her a little. As for checking the door for traps? Morgan wasn't sure how to go about doing that. She didn't make a habit of crawling into dark places filled with traps or setting them up. "Um, heh-contract meh-may-should let me bypass rest of security-traps in heh-Hollow. Nada-not sure on locked doors though...Zzzomeone could toss uh, stuff at door to see if boom-trap-thing?"

If no one opts to try anything with the door, Morgan will try to open it by the handle.

Striding forward, Marcus calls upon the strong connection he possesses to his elemental nature. Although his appearance only changes in small, subtle ways, he can feel the strength and resilience of Metal suffusing his body. The appearance of his metallic flesh becomes solid, undeniable fact as his skin, muscles, and even his bones transform into steel. Stepping in front of Morgan, Marcus looks back to double-check that everyone is ready to enter the workshop before he opens the door. The elemental had already been too slow when the beast had bravely placed herself in harm's way to disarm the ward. He was definitely not going to make the same mistake twice.

"Hold one a second," Daniel said so politely it was almost a question.

He followed closer to the others. Sliding around Marcus to get a better look at the door. He did a cursory examination, looking for an obvious triggers or alarms. Not that his experience so far in life likely prepared him for looking over a possibly trapped door in a Hedge castle. At the very least, Daniel would be able to say for certain whether there was any more mundane tricks up the doors sleeve.

"Seems to be clear," Daniel said, stepping back and letting the other experts take the front.

"Eh-heh so that tis how ye check then?" After seeing how Daniel inspected the door, Morgan tried to imitate his actions.
