A Duel Under The Moon (Aryana & Allison)

Ary had picked an area out of town for their duel. Two literal Wolves slamming into each other, and changing forms, would definitely trouble the locals if they stayed in town, and could draw the attention of the Pure. Something no one wanted to happen. She had picked a small clearing about a mile out of town. There was plenty of space for the duel, while also being far enough into the wild that no one would notice - or if they did it would have been unavoidable anyway.

The Woman did not sit in the clearing that evening. Aryana was ready for a fight, and she wasn't going to waste time on shifting at the beginning. Instead, the Near-Wolf, Ary's personal favorite combat form after Gauru, lay in the center, front legs crossed and eyes closed. Her ears, however, were still alert, waiting for the telltale sounds of Allison's approach.

Allison breaks through the wilderness at the edge of the clearing, already in Dalu form and wearing a set of clothing sized for the larger physique; Leather jacket over a black compression shirt and matching pants, athletic shoes, and fingerless sap gloves. She knows she should get around to having a set of clothing Dedicated for her at some point, but it never seems to be the right time. With her, she carries a backpack (containing a set of Hishu-sized clothes) and a medic's kit that she borrowed from the gym, just in case. She raises an eyebrow at the giant wolf laying in the clearing, noting with interest the form in which Aryana wishes to duel.

She drops the pack and medical kit near the edge of the clearing and walks forward, cracking her neck and stretching as she does so. She gives Aryana a wicked grin as she taps her fists together and drops into a combat stance, "Whenever you're ready."

Initiative 11

Chuck padded gently into the clearing in his wolf form stopping a few feet from the edge. He looked between the combatants, this was their fight and he wouldn't get involved. But he had an interest in the outcome, and there would be much to learn from watching.

The massive Wolf stands from its pose, stretching and watching Allison approach. Rather than attack immediately, however, the wolf simply circles around her, examining her from every angle, learning her stance, her physique, everything. Aryana was not going to jump into the fight unprepared, especially when she had been taught otherwise. She noted areas of weakness, places where she could strike for maximum effect. When the time was right.

Ary spends her first turn to activate Tooth and Claw 1, reducing Allison's Defense by 1 against her attacks for the rest of the scene.

Alli shifts with Ary as she circles around, preparing for an attack that never comes. Sizing her up. Boxers do it all the time. Well, if she wants to get a feel for Allison's abilities, Alli is happy to give her a firsthand look. Her stance suddenly shifts from defensive to aggressive, launching forward with a massive blow, landing a huge blow, meant to knock Aryana for a loop.

All-out attack.

-1 WP for attack.

Boxing 1 - Body Blows - Aryana loses her next action.

-1 Essence to activate Full Moon 1 (Clarity), Initiative +5, effective next round. Which is now! Allison moves to initiative 16, and now goes first in the next round.

No Kuruth

-1 WP for Kuruth

Immediately, her stance shifts again, and with lightning speed she launches into another assault before Aryana can take advantage of the opening she left. Her fists come fast and furious, a quick series of blows, a blitzkrieg beatdown!

Seeing Aryana still standing, and not bursting into Death Rage, Allison grins and continues the assault, falling back to her more defensive stance, rather than succumbing to hubris and over extending herself.

Ary practically roars in pain. In a dim, dark corner of her mind, she acknowledges that her opponent can fight. The forefront of her mind, however, is focused on her own survival. The massive Wolf leaps forward, intent on mauling the smaller woman with its jaws. The bite lands, but the armor deflects it.

No Kuruth, still awake.

Allison rocks back on her back leg and brings her arm up, catching the bite with the sleeve of her jacket and twisting it away. Her face is painted with a huge grin, loving every second of the fight and the rush of adrenaline that comes with it, not to mention the excitement of beating her rival into a pulp. Well, she decided to leave herself wide open. It would be rude not to take her up on the offer.

Allison rocks back forward, falling into yet another series of strikes meant to finally bring Aryana to the ground.
