On the patio of the Rose Garden, tucked within the beautiful flowers in the urban oasis, an exquisite canopy adorned with ivy and lush greens. Hanging from beneath the top of the canopy was a soft but gorgeous light that would set the tone of the rest of the evening.

What lay beneath the canopy was a very large Jacuzzi. Clearly not a permanent fixture for the Rose Garden and rented for the evening. It had room for all the current Springs in the Freehold, and then some.

Along the side held a long table. It was filled with exotic fruits and vegetables. A spread of grilled foods on warmers were on the end, filled with kabobs and other finger foods all made or prepared by Mrs. Rosemary herself. There would be no store bought treats here. For that was absurd considering the fine chef that Sacramento had in their Court.

Along the edges of the rotunda of the canopy were beach lounge chairs, towels and spare sandals. But no sand, that would ruin the patio and the beautiful flowers that held the perimeter of the backyard garden. The tone was clearly set for a evening of fun.

The Queen’s presence was certainly there, but she was not currently in the patio yet.

Naturally, already present was the former Queen of the Verdant Court, and now it's Archivist. The Rose Garden had been her creation, one that had slowly developed since it's initial concept and was once again playing host to the Antler Crown. Mrs. Rosemary had been busing in preparation, creating a vast spread at her Queen's behest, always eager and happy to be of service, a trait that she had shared with the late Mr. Bates; a good and dearly missed friend.

As she had already made and laid out the food and drink for the evening, Mrs. Rosemary had been quite looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi Queen LeBlanc had rented. Wearing a simple and plain black one-piece, the Ogress left her towel on a chair before gently lowering herself into the bubbling warmth of pure joy. Settling into the tub, Mrs. Rosemary released a content sigh of relaxation and bliss, hands playing with the bubbles.

As warm as winter was in California, Alex hadn't been prepared to go to a restaurant without normal clothes too. So he'd dug through his stuff for his cozzie (some how finding that he had two pairs of the swimming trunks) and put a pair and two towels in a backpack. The second pair he wore under his pants.

And that was how he showed up to the Rose Garden: Wearing pants and a sweater with his backpack slung over his shoulder. "Hi! Ohh, food!" He glanced over it, wondering what was vegetarian even as he set his back down and pulled off his shirt.

He gave a curious glance to the Ogress in the water and waved with a grin. "I'm Alex, don't believe I've had the pleasure to meet you yet." Phillip, though, he did know, and Phillip got a nod in recognition.

Mary arrives ever so close to precisely on time, almost surprising herself when she sees the time on her phone, and surveys her surroundings. She wanted to know if there was a good reason she was wearing a swimsuit instead of regular underwear, and lo and behold, the Jacuzzi in the room suggested she hadn't wasted the effort.

Normally at an event like this, she'd make a b-line for the food. But her Queen's presence was currently free of interlopers and she wagered it was a good time for the Emissary to have a chat with Spring's leader.

Strolling over to Violet, Mary greets her, "Well hello there. And how are you doing this evening, your Highness?"

Lynn arrived along with everybody else, wearing a wrapped silk skirt and colorful shirt, and her suit underneath. In one hand she had a bag with a change of clothes, just in case and for once her fiddle wasn't slung over her back. Instead it was nestled in the bag as well, well wrapped in a sealed plastic bag. Given that she was clearly worried about getting the fiddle wet, one would expect that she would have just left the thing at home. Since that wasn't really an option, she had instead chosen to safeguard it as well as she could.

Once she arrived, she called out a greeting to the few people she did know, walking over and setting her bag down on one of the chairs. She pulled off her street clothes quickly, revealing a fairly simple two piece suit in swirls of soft green and blue. She giggled slightly at the idea of a hot tub party in the middle of a restaurant, but none the less made her way over to the rest and climbed in as well, pausing only to lean the well wrapped fiddle against the side of the tub.

Once safely ensconced in the hot water, Lynn cheerfully waved her fingers at Alex and Mrs. Rosemary before turning to the one person she wasn't familiar with. "Hello there. I'm Lynn; are you new in town?"

Looking, at first, like quite the odd sight in a black camel hair overcoat and gladiator sandals, cane lightly tapping along at her side, the Claviger of Spring entered the Rose garden. A bright grin was thrown to those present before she made her way over to a spare chair and shed her wonderfully warm outer layer to reveal that she was clad in a sarong of brilliant, swirling colors, and a teal bikini top. The cane she kept with her as she strode over to stand near the doorway to both greet those of Spring and guard against anyone unwarranted who might enter.

Finn is the next to arrive, decked out in warm clothes much like the others. Despite what the invitation said and whatever elemental chicanery his kind could effect, he would have to go back out into the cold Sacramento night eventually and he didn't feel like catching pneumonia tonight.

So, he's still wearing his coat and jeans when he enters the restaurant; an old gym bag filled with spare towels and a change of cloths slung over one shoulder. There were several member of the Freehold he recognized, and a few he didn't; but the one closest to the door was certainly familiar to the Fairest. He gives Coco a quick wave, heading over to the other Emerald Courtier with a smile.

"Hello, Claviger. Good to see you again. Minding the gates tonight, are we?"

"As is my desire, fair Finn, though I must admit, I do dearly desire, as well, to see if your name has any bearing on how comfortable you are in water," Coco shot back with a wink.
