Moving Night!

After having texted Michael and Max to help out with the move, Tracy drove up to the house in Florin to get things started. She had parked her bike outside of the house, like she had many times before. The Gangrel had some fond memories of the place, and she would surely miss certain things about it. However, as a Dragon, she understood the importance of change, and in this case, much change was needed in order for the academy to move on with its goals.

Tracy waited by the door, keeping an eye out for her colleagues or any trouble that may ensue that evening.

Normally, Max would have been one for subtlety in a situation like this. But tonight was no simple snatch and grab like Mather; It was hard to disguise moving large quantities of material, let alone the stone eagle. And he was sure the Society was still watching the House, if they hadn't broken in already. Might was well make it obvious what they were doing and see what trouble came their way.

Which is why the Mekhet had forgone his usual black sedan in favor of a big, white box truck. It's almost as loud coming up the long driveway as Tracy's motorcycle had been; if the Penelope goons were watching the house there could be no mistaking what was about to happen tonight. Max brings the truck to a stop near the front of the abandoned house, killing the engine and slipping out of the cab. He tries to adjust the weight hanging from his left shoulder as discretely as he can without moving the half-open jacket that covered it; the weight of a holstered gun was something he hadn't had to deal with in quite a while. Still, he wanted to be prepared for as many eventualities as he could tonight. And if bullets did fly, the only people these would trace back to were Khan's security guard lackeys...

Spotting his fellow Dragon, Max begins making his way over to Tracy; but makes a habit of glancing around as he goes. Once he's close enough to be able to speak in a soft whisper, he nods his head to the Gangrel. "Looks like it's just the two of us so far..."

Michael is the third to arrive, in a middle-priced rental. He is wearing the patrol equipment tonight: a heavy leather jacket with lockpicks hidden underneath together with athletic shoes. Overall, the Gangrel is looking much better than in his Regency days: even if the physical appearance is the same, the clothes are spotless and his gait is light. Managing responsibilities can do wonders for one's composure.

He stops the car near the truck and gets out after killing the engine:

"Hey, good evening", - the Deputy looks toward the house, - "Lets get to it? The nights are getting shorter".

The signs are slowly becoming evident. The windows have lost that clean, fresh, lustre and leaf litter limply covers the porch. The grounds, infused by the recent rains, are starting to take on a wild, yet subtle, appearance. Once there would have been at least one light acting as a beacon in the night; now the old house is silent and draped in a pall of shadows.

Such are the signs of change. When the wind rustles through the nearby line of trees, even they sound ominous.

The pistol and clips Max took from the guards in Mather, as well as one of their extendable baton and pouch, and his usual tonfa.

As Max and Redfill arrived in turn, Tracy offered a quick smile to both of them. "Glad to see you two could make it," she said to her fellow Dragons. "I don't think anyone else will be joining us tonight, so we may as well get to it." She glanced quickly at the vehicles they had brought along with them, which should be sufficient to transport everything they needed from the house.

Remaining alert to her surroundings, the petite Gangrel began to head towards the front door. "Should we start with the larger objects, or leave those for last?" she asked, curious as to what her companions would suggest.

Max gives a nod to Michael as he turns the duo into a trio; then looks to Tracy as she makes her way towards the front door. "I suggest we start with the upstairs library. That's where the most sensitive and valuable materials are; those are the most important texts to protect. I'd much rather explain to Mr Grand we lost the statue than explain to Mr Grace we caused a Breach..."

The Florin Chapter House is as it was left. Only now the darkened premises has a veneer of dust lightly covering the furniture and a still, warm, atmosphere indicative of a house sealed up for some time. The house is empty: they walk into a space void of life and the simulation of life. One more sign of change.

For those who wish to, make a Perception check (+3 bonus due to a Kindred's heightened senses). Its not mandatory: this is more about passive awareness and picking up on clues.
