for AvaAccessing the public library's newspaper archives & database and with the assistance of a librarian, Ava is able to find the news article relating to Theresa Nosek that Tessa had mentioned. In its article form, Ava reads about how Theresa was a suspect in a case of arson reported just outside of downtown Sacramento back in June. It seems she had been taken in on suspicion, having been seen there by a witness the night of the fire. However there was not enough evidence to charge Theresa with the crime. The home in Rio Linda had belonged to a man, Eddy Herrera, age 32 who died in the fire.Reading through Newspapers 5suxx

Tessa interjects, asking the pair if they could tell her more about this. It seems that not too long ago there was a group of hoodlums who had begun burgling residences and businesses in the northern part of Sacramento. The burglaries came to a sudden stop sometime in the Summer but the suspected robbers were never caught. Tessa can assume this took place after her return from Arcadia.

Her colleagues among the police force are more helpful. They quickly inform Tessa that the woman, Theresa, while she has been suspected in the past of several crimes that she's not currently wanted for anything. After a brief description of the officer she witnessed in connection with her locket she is told that his name is Matthew Bowman, a "goody two shoes" corporal on the force that they know to avoid.
Once they have provided this information, the crooked cops give Tessa a package and tell her to deliver it to an address in Rio Linda in exchange for their help. They tell her not to open it, just to drop it off on the doorstep and not ask questions.for DanielDaniel has to take his time sifting through the dense content and dead links of his internet search, but his effort yields fruit. He learns much the same as Ava, finding online newspaper articles that cover the story of arson. He even finds a link on the video database to the broadcast that Tessa viewed. There isn't much else in the news that includes her name, however. While there are several Theresa Noseks using popular social media it seems that none are listed as living in Sacramento, though there are a few Daniel finds that are listed as private and don't display much more than their name.

Their investigation seems to provide them many leads to pursue regarding Tessa's Fetch. After finishing their investigative search, the Changelings rendezvous once more outside of Edna's Boarding House to share what they've learned. The light fog that had settled over the city throughout the morning is beginning to clear as the chill air starts to warm by the midday sun. Still, warmer jackets are worn by the few passerbys that navigate the sidewalks.
