"You think so?" Juan smiled in amusement. "Harpy Cordoba?" Another pause, "It does have a pleasant ring to it."
Juan waved his hands, dismissing the fantasy then nodded in agreement. "Right, we would need official observance."
"As for timing...well..I know it's short notice, perhaps you could obtain it before Court?"
Konrad grimaces. "That soon, huh? Well...I'll see what I can do. I doubt if we'll be able to get any observance straightaway. Might even have to get it at Court and make the trade off there if you're cool with that."
Jeez, maybe I should up the price for rush orders, considers Konrad, feeling his humor wane.
Konrad's disapproval was quite evident. "I apologize for the inconvenience in this, Mister Roth," Cordoba replied solemnly. "Observance and trade at Court. I accept your terms of agreement. We must be mindful of the Laws. No weapons on premises, of course."
"Oh sure, of course," agrees Konrad quickly, hoping to ease Juan's worries. "We'll just check in with a Deputy at the door and have them escort us or hold it for us until we can find someone to handle the Boon. All by the book. You just make sure to get me that cash soon as you can. My associates are going to want that upfront."
"Excellent plan," the Daeva's enthusiasm had returned to the fore. "The payment will be ready for you."
Juan extended his hand to Konrad, "It's been a pleasure doing business with you, Mister Roth."
With their business concluded, Konrad accepts Juan's handshake. Despite their natures as monsters of the night, the need for commerce and cooperation continues, an echo of their human origins. Thus the Danse continues. "Will be seeing you soon. Have a safe evening," he says with a smirk. The Savage stands and heads off into the night to get started on fulfilling his side of the bargain.
Konrad exits the scene
"Until we meet again, Mister Roth." The Toreador arose from his seat. Adjusting the collar of his overcoat, he made his way from the garden.
