The Theurge Councilor arrived, dressed in an overcoat, covering his black suit and brown leather courier bag. Hostel Hi's history was a time before his arrival. It bore no sentimental value to him. He would not lament the past which he had no part in. Tonight was a night of reform.
At his side was his girlfriend and fellow Councilor, Mace . "This is it," he whispered to her. "Exciting isn't it?"

Honestly, he didn't get the van thing.
That thing was so awesome, someone would probably offer to buy it tonight. Oh, well. Zoey's loss. And Asp's, too, because solidarity. A deuce was thrown at Bishop ( Samaritan ) and Weavebreaker as they entered. She hadn't called, even though he'd offered. Oh well. File that under Arrow Honor, most likely. Pretty interesting that Guardian House was hosting. A little snug, but at least there wouldn't be echoes, right?
"Looks like Christmas is over." Softly. Was he cracking on Santa shaving? Maybe. Maybe it was just chronological statement of fact. Sure it was. Santa was dressed up, too. Own it, yo. A finger tugged at his sweater. Speaking of clothes, Avis ? Adorbs. Like a kid in a candy store, discovering Fashion. The glasses were totally better.
"Man, that, like, totally sucks."
If an explanation was needed, a hand gestured at the seating arrangement. Do the math. Councilors sitting at their own table. Sentinel would probably be rollin' and patrollin', tryna catch someone riding dirty. Which left... one lonely Beastie he be, alone at cabal's table got nobody.
Whatever. It just meant he'd could build an epic card house.
"Have fun, I'll, uh, you know, catch you all on the flip side." A little wave went with the smile. Do Your Thang, Ladies. If this was anything like the last one, they'd get mobbed. Doing Official Business. Which was all good. Seriously. There's no jelly on this sandwich. He needed mobbing like Rodney King.
Somewhere, there had to be a bar.

Aquinas' travel tumbler is filled with a wheat-grass shake. It's the new year, which means a lot of new Resolutions have already been broken, but one has remained. An oath to eat cleaner. It is more a promise made to his oldest daughter, who has also vowed to do the same – whole-grains, lean meats, the whole of it. That meant no pizza and certainly no rich foods.
Everyone has to make a little sacrifice here and there.
Beneath an old bomber jacket, is red Marino Wool, paired simply with a white-oxford shirt and chinos. That's about as dressed up as Aquinas gets these days. The days of wearing a three-piece suit went the way of the do-do when he left his admittedly cushy job as a Financier.
“Bishop,” ( Samaritan ) The Thιarch states as he slides past him on the way into the Hostel, “thank you for hosting tonight.” The Keybearer is seemingly laid back as he moves inside and makes special note of both of his Heralds first, though he doesn't call them to his side. Then he makes note of the Councilors already in attendance.
The Hierarch looks ready to get things done, especially after his last swig of his wheatgrass shake. Still, first, he makes himself available to the assembled magi in attendance before proceedings get under way so Aquinas starts a slow circuit around the room.

Pepper left the table with Nous and the other two Acanthi, drifting over to Aquinas with a smile. "Aquinas, I have an offer and a question for you. The offer's simple - The Panthera Nox have given our information to be recognized at this consilium, and we happen to have two sanctums. One of them is a fairly spacious greenhouse we're using to grow mostly crops, but it's set up so that we can also host events there. We would love to host a future consilium in the space, with your approval."
She took a breath and frowned slightly. "The Question... is a bit more personal."
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little nervous," Mace said to Ermac. She gave Bishop a nod as they walked through the door. "But I guess the better question is if we're ready." She looked around the gathering, noting the variety of dress. She smirked a bit when she noticed Einstein's getup. Bishop was probably steaming, which did nothing to placate her smirk. Of course, she'd picked out a simple dress, one that she could accent with some jewelry and not feel too out of place next to Ermac's amazing suit.
"And I think we got this," she flashed him a smile. "We worked hard, it'll be good to see the payoff."

"There'll be time to mingle and stuff after we get everything announced, don't worry," Avis assured Star, a smile flickering into place and then disappearing again. "On the flip side," she promised, then walked away, towards the Councilor's table. It would give her a decent vantage of the room, so she could read the general emotional patina of the gathering before it starter, and, besides, she didn't really want to just stand around and spit flurries of hellos and nods of greeting at everyone. Once the business was out of the way, sure, she'd enjoy having a few conversations, but there didn't seem to be any point when they'd have to cut everything short in the meantime.

"Good evening, Hierarch." Bishop replied, giving Aquinas a slight bow from the hip. He then noted @Idun ( RockBane ), still standing next to him.
"I am sorry, Mrs. Idun. I don't think Mr. Striker is already here. Feel free to move inside, no need for you to freeze out here. I'll give him a note, that you inquired, if that is ok with you."
Having stored her helmet in Julia’s main compartment, where it would cover her Bowie knife, and securing the bike; Damascus stamped a few times in an attempt to entice some warmth back into her booted feet. As she did so, the Shaman muttered words of the high speech into her clasped hands as she restored her defensive measures and tried to rub some heat back into her chilled fingers.
Chilled was the word to describe her this evening, seeing as it was a formal event and she wasn't really sure what was expected of her she’d bought herself a dress and managed to squeeze into it. While she'd picked out a pair of similarly shaded earrings and eschewed her armor rings, she'd refused to concede her other piercings or the copper ring on her left hand; though a plain steel band had joined it to make it somewhat less conspicuous. There was only so far she was willing to go for formality’s sake.
What she wanted was to be indoors, now, where there was hopefully food and drink to chase the cold from her limbs; so she started towards the Hostel, shivering slightly in the crisp January air. Spying a well dressed gentleman by the door whose beard and hair already been claimed by winter, the Shaman approached with some haste.
She shook his proffered hand and stepped around the couple by the doorway, into the Consilium proper and blessed warmth. The Thyrsus removed her leather jacket and draped it over one shoulder where it could remain until she found a seat to call her own. As Mella readjusted her position upon the Mage’s person Damascus inclined her head to Truce, though seeing Emrys with him, did not stop to bandy words. Spying Einstein with Crowley, and more importantly food; she drifted through the throng with the purpose, grace and subjective surface temperature of a small motorized iceberg.
