    Nimbus

Einstein's Nimbus manifests as a light surrounding her, often covering up her features with its brightness. When triggered by her Vice, it takes on an eerie blue glow and seems to be coming from some opening behind her. When triggered by her Virtue, it manifests as an angelic glow about her, sometime accompanied by a halo-seeming thing above her head.

Einstein strolled in, comfortable on time, as far she was concerned. She shook the doorman's hand when he offered it -how polite- and continued in to the main level. She hadn't worried too much about dressing nice tonight, since it was just a Diamond event. What would they do, kick her out for having a t-shirt on instead of a three-piece suit? In the spirit of this silent rebellion, she had thrown on a shirt with the violent red symbol of the anarchists and a pair of pre-ripped jeans over some black sneakers. Not that she planned on doing anything. The rest of the Council had been pretty clear on how she was supposed to behave towards the rest of the Consilium. Cooperation and coexistence. Which didn't mean she wasn't allowed to have some fun.

Since there was no one she was too interested in talking with at that moment, Einstein made a beeline for the buffet and Crowley, who was predictable already moving towards it. Once she got close enough, she waved, already bearing her trademarked grin. "Heya Crowley, how's it going?"

Idun arrives wearing casual wear, a long sleeve white shirt covered by a blue jacket and blue jeans. Her hair is dyed a teal color with her bangs dyed royal blue. About her neck is a wooden pendant that features a bare tree on a leather tong. She's trying something new by using colored contacts, her eyes are a very striking green.

She's also not carrying about her purse, in her jacket pockets is where her keys, wallet, and cell are located. Upon entering, she takes a look around, greeting Bishop and Weavebreaker. She notices Miach but, well, she turns towards Bishop, asking politely, "I don't suppose Striker is around? I have to speak with him about something."

The quiet doesn't last for long before it's shattered. As well it should be.

"How do you think I made it here so early?"

It's because she didn't stop at Starbucks.

"I can speak for myself, and certainly, Miach."

Nous, Miach and Pepper continue here.

Emrys made his way to the Hostel dressed for the weather. He smiled and offered a polite nod of the head to the man at the door as he crossed it's threshold. The same was offered to the Acanthi and all the others he had met.

The smell of food gave him direction from the threshold, at least until he stopped. It occurred to the Acanthus in that moment that he had something to take care of before heading straight to the food. He did a quick 180 and approached the Moros from the previous Concilium gathering.

"Hey Truce ." The Syndic said, albeit with a slightly nervous smile. "So, got a sec?"

Fair-skinned and thin, Truce does not appear to get out much, choosing instead to pursue more studious endeavors. He appears as a typical college student, wearing button up shirts, slacks, and a sports coat at times. His hair is dark brown and wavy, his eyes hazel.

Given his unfamiliarity with the venue, Truce has begun looking about the room curiously after leaving the entryway. It isn't a remarkable conference room, but most of the individuals he recognizes have already begun their own conversations and there's little else to keep him occupied for the moment.

Hearing the familiar voice of the Enchanter, Emrys, Truce smiles softly and greets the man, offering a polite handshake instinctively. "Emrys, yes, of course. How have you been? Is this about that business that Councilor Mace has us working on?" he asks, voicing his assumption. He hadn't spoken with Emrys further on the matter since Truce had met up with Mace after their brief exchange at the last Consilium gathering.

Crowley beamed around the cigarette, limp in his mouth.

"I am well. Yourself. You should try some of this!" He had already acquired a plate and it was filled. "All set for the great game that is about to begin. Its actually starting to feel like we are part of something 'round here."

He stared avidly at his fellow Counsellor, as if he was trying to avoid looking at the room (and indeed, the building). "What do you think of the setting, eh? I think the Guardian's are making a mighty fine job of it - or so I hear."

Let's see what this is about... probably just a social meeting, maybe a couple of announcements.

As Hope enters the conference room, she spots Einstein and Crowley chatting and goes to where they are to join in the conversation. "Hello guys."

Vulgar: Color drains from the immediate area and depth perception becomes temporarily skewed, everything seeming to draw in uncomfortably close, making rooms smaller and all but distant objects seem in reach.
Vice: Color drains from Avis and her facial features seem indistinct and grainy, as though her identity is growing less defined.
Virtue: Colors appear more vibrant and everything seems to become grander in scale.

There was much that could be said about when one arrived. Many judgement could be made about the character of the person arriving, their regards to the occasion, and even their dedication to cultural adherence and politesse, but few methods of arrival sent as powerful or explicit of a message as arriving among a cohesive unit; as part of a whole, a member of something beyond just oneself, and that was why the Veiled Threats walked through the doors of the Hostel as a diamond with four points, four individuals forming a collective Will. That was the message they wanted to send, anyways. In truth, the word "collective" had been a bit less accurate before they'd stepped out of their vehicles in front of the Hostel. Yes, that that was correct, vehicles. That had been the point of contention between the Threats as they'd prepared for the formal Consilium: how should they transport themselves there? For Star and Avis that choice was simple: they had a van; a spacious, sturdy vehicle that fit the legend of their Cabal's cover. Perfect choice for transportation, right?

Well, no. Not perfect for those with little appreciation for the overtly ironic, and Zodiac firmly fit into that camp. She wouldn't be caught dead in that van. What self respecting diamond mage would? Well, aside from the derpiest of the derps. That answer was clearly manifested before the entire Consilium and was beyond obvious at this point. So, no, forget that question. The idiocy of some people could not be questioned beyond a certain point, not if one wanted to stay sane, and so the argument moved back again to how they should arrive. Eventually, they did reach a consensus. They'd take two vehicles and split their number between the two, thus not abandoning all claims of solidarity. Besides, two cars could technically be called a motorcade, couldn't it, and that wasn't unfitting considering they had three Consilium officials amongst their number. Not that the fourth member could be discounted, either. It was precisely that lack of overt importance which made him most capable, after all. Illusions were much easier to spin before one stepped onto the stage, especially if there was an accomplice to distract the audience. Not that any illusions were being planned for tonight, of course, but one never knew when an illusion might become necessary. Banishers were a Thing, yo.

That was why Asp took up the rearguard of the Veiled Threats, dressed much like an athlete her age might, in leggings and a fitted crimson blouse, with a bag hanging from her left shoulder. She could blend in or kick as much ass as was necessary, as was fitting for a Threat, a Sentinel, and the head of the Adamantine Arrow. The bag, of course, acting as a disguised sheath for her weapon, and the clothes acting as urban field uniform. Light on pockets, sure, but certain not to get in the way of movement, or to draw attention. Efficient and practical, as was how she liked it, but also not unapproachable, much like the pleasant smile on her face. Today was a good day to become an official Consilium.

Certainly not a thought which absent from the frontwoman of the Veiled Threats, Zodiac , their Sigil Bearer and a Herald of the Consilium. Establishing order was paramount for any institution which wanted to be worthy of the appellation, let alone worthy of being considered professional, effective, or practical, and those were all things which the Sacramento Consilium needed to be. And, now that she'd returned, Zodiac was more than motivated to whip the errant magi of Sacramento into line. New, uncooperative, or simply unaware, none would be spared the intellectual, thorough, and blunt attentions of the Veiled Herald of Sacramento. Such could be seen in her attire: a sensible black pencil skirt, a charcoal grey silk blouse, and authoritative, matching pumps all reflected her diligence and spoke a simple message: Idiots beware.

Of course, just because Zodiac spoke for their cabal officially didn't mean that they all shared her penchant for professional attire. Star , illusionist, Visus, and friendly provocateur, strode behind Zoey's right shoulder in comfortable khaki's, loafers, and a blue sweater over a button up. Definitely not the most cas' he could have been, but there was something to be said for being relaxed when it came to official meetings like this. Easier to blend in when you weren't dressed to the nines, or wearing something worth half a pay check. Appearances weren't all about flash and shine, or sharp lines, yo. Sometimes a softer touch was required. Take the brush of fingertips as they lifted your wallet. What? Him? No. Why look his way? Think someone in khaki's and loafers would be desperate for that wallet? How 'bout check that chick on his right. She could probably use the dough. Naw, just fooling.

The hoody hadn't made an appearance this time. Avis was branching out, stepping beyond the comfort of cotton and into a more traditional mantle. Slacks, flats, collared shirt, jacket and tie, all constructed a symbol of authority that none had seen her wear before. That was kinda the point, though. A new Consilium and a new beginning required new gestures, and this time she her intent and practices needed to align. That was Honor, and that was the image a politician needed to cultivate. The idea of it, at least. What lurked beneath that severe bun, hair pulled back from her face and neck, or what lurked behind eyes underlined with shadow and adorned with liner, well, that was left a mystery for those without the expertise or the daring to try and look behind the front. Maybe they'd find a mind honorably aligned. Maybe they'd find a labyrinth of twisting conception. The wise would expect Both.

Regardless, one fact was clear. The Veiled Threats had arrive.

Bishop gave a nod to Weavebreaker, briefly shaking her hand.
"Well, it's too late to worry anyways now. If I could change anything, I would have rented a costume-shop and get people dressed for the occasion." he replied, his eyes always on the trail of people slowly trickling in, mentally checking people of his list. "What's so bad about dressing up every once in a while?" he asked, half in conversation and half to himself, when the woman with the "Anarchy"-T-Shirt had passed by.
There were of course some representing the idea, that what outer appearances did not matter and only the contents of a package were important. But to Bishop coming without at least a collared shirt was simply just bad manners. Sure, they would most likely all disagree with one another at some point during the evening, but that did not mean one could not show respect. It had taken a truck-load of work to get this organized and it had been on relatively short notice. The fact, that no sleepers could be involved had added to the effort, because there were fewer shoulders to distribute the weight on.
The least you could do as a guest was to spent a meagre amount of time adjusting yourself and show in a curteous way that you appreciated the evening.

Bishop and Weavebreaker at the door continue here.
