All of this ongoing nonsense has simply confounded me as I watch Ms. Khan drone on, but she is so freaking beautiful it is stunning, if only she wouldn't talk so much...

If Nefertiti Khan was not such mysterious eye candy, with her exotic looks and curious golden skin, Angel might have been better able to perceive the body language of the other participants in the gathering.

Chris has plenty of time to study. Khan herself could be rehearsing lines for the depth of awareness she is showing. Under his Sight, the only thing that glows is the enigmatic woman herself; glowing less potently than in their first meeting, she is still waring objects that burn bright with power - jewellery for the most part. The crippled assistant has a knife of some kind hidden on her that has a tell tale glow of power; and one of the bodyguards - a man with a tattoo over his eye - has something in his gun that registers.

The Hierophant turns his attention to the Sadikh. For a long moment, nothing. Then, a heavy veil is parted and he sees a serene vista of grey. The aura is deceptive, however, for beneath that placid layer is a roiling sea of brown and dark blue. It is a good thing the Savage takes his time, for the Sadikh's aura is weak and muted, flickering occasionally from eruptions that bear a strikingly similar glow to that which pours from Nefertiti herself; dark bands wrap snug and tight around the aura, adding a further layer of complexity - as if the auric emanation isn't eye melting enough!

With nothing else to stop her, Khan continues on, winding up her long speech with another prayer (one might think its a prayer) and an exhortation to continue doing the Judge's work. Tiresome and trite, really. Except for the last phrase, uttered as she prepares to return to her waiting vehicle: "I shall send one of my servants to you, shortly. You should come to our court, child. And bring that one," gesturing to Josephine, "Just because she is without Life should not mean she goes around so inappropriately attired."

If there is nothing left to do, we can draw this strangle little scene to a close Thank you, all

A sable brow rose in challenge of Khan's persistent badgering of her wardrobe, but the Ventrue eventually bowed her head in acknowledgement of the odd being's whims. There was no use arguing with her, not on a farce like tonight. Oh, how she would enjoy being able to cast aside the pretense and actually speak with the woman, to ask her questions, and most importantly, to make the reality of the situation truly known. Only a fool marched into another kingdom and proclaimed themselves Queen. Khan was either delusional, which Josephine was beginning to suspect, or she had some plan in mind. It would be useful to learn what that plan might be, if indeed it existed, and whether some sort of arrangement could be reached in its stead. Hopefully the night when such prospects could be explored would come soon.
