    <<Oh alright! I should be close then>>

Lucy looks around. Her most likely guess is that L'aire is near that walking mountain she can see not far away.

    Hehe.

Some of the perks of being a Changeling. Sometimes. The Fireheart approaches what appears to be a group. She sees another man as well, and she has time to study him for a tiny bit before she's close enough to talk. Not bad, not bad at all.

'Hi everyone! Lucy here. Thanks for the invite Sasha, the place looks great.' She smiles to her fellow Onyx Courtier, then to the two men. She hasn't met them, so time for introductions. While offering them a handshake she casually asks, 'How are you guys doing?'

To human eyes he looks slightly taller than average, with a lean, athletic build. His brown skin gives away his Mohawk ancestry, complementing his equally brown eyes and dark hair. He displays a military-styled haircut, shorter to the sides, and sports a few scars across his body and a particularly visible one in the form of claw marks across his face and neck. A very intense scent of forest, a mixing of pine needles, tree sap, and animal fur, characterizes him.

Those who can see through the Mask observe black-and-white feathers to the sides of his face, that fuse seamlessly with his skin and hairline and close to his golden eyes. His teeth are unusually sharp, displaying fangs that are hard to categorize as belonging to a specific predator, although they most closely resemble a wolf's or some other canine's.

He wasn't sure how long he had spent just staring at that window, but by the time he managed to shook melancholy off, there was a whole spectacle for him to pay attention to elsewhere. Okay, cowboy, remembrance is nice and all, but let's try to put it to use and make this a productive evening. The more lethargic part of him let out a sigh, while he observed more 'lings coming into the scene. And those hobbs... Was that supposed to be Bohemian Rhapsody? He liked them already.

He made a show out of adjusting his jacket for extra comfort and running a hand through his hair. He was giving himself time to think. Should he join them? He doubted a revelation would come to him just by staring at a window. He was hardly a Buddha. And that whole isolationist show he had been running with had proved to be a not-so-brilliant idea. WW2 is over, Private Ryan. Time to be a respectable member of the community. Before he could change his mind he just walked up to them, hands on his jacket.

    "Hey, Sasha. Enjoying the show?"

His tone came out oddly distant. Not cold, just... absent. Whoa, I didn't meant that. He hoped she hadn't taken it the wrong way. She probably was still broken up about the other day. And who was that guy next...?

"Chris?" He said incredulously. Before he knew it he was smiling with more than a little amusement. "I swear I didn't recognize you right up until now. Nice haircut."

He turned to the other two Lost. He couldn't recall ever seeing them. He was pretty sure a walking mountain and a girl on fire fell well into his list of things to be considered 'memorable' so that probably meant they hadn't met before.

"Name's Nathan." He noticed their mantles. It would seem he was at a bit of a numerical disadvantage. "I take it you're friends with Sasha here?"

What is she thinking, I wonder? At least Chris was around. A familiar face that could stand him — or so he hoped. That ought to make it slightly more bearable for everyone, right? He turned back to him.

"I would poke fun at your fashion sense, but I don't think I'm in the best shape to be judging on that at the moment." He took a quick look at Sasha. "Didn't expect to see you guys so soon."

“Like a kaleidoscope?” The Fairest asked, curious about what he did see if anything. She felt more relaxed now than she had at the Dive Bar. “Oh, hey Green. How’s the evening so far?” The Onxy didn’t expect to see the Elemental about.

She waved as the Fireheart approached. “Lucy! No problem, glad you made it. Sorry, my directions around the festivities aren’t the greatest.”

“I was thinking about walking through the displays in the park first. That is, if Chris wants to escort me?” She said in a joking tone, but serious as her hand moved to his arm. The Dancer wasn’t sure if she’d be escorting him instead though, she had yet to learn the limitations of his vision. God, maybe this was a mistake.

L’aire flashed a look to Lucy. *I’ll explain later.*

The Fairest didn’t look in the Hunterheart’s eyes as she replied. “Just about to start.” Her voice only cordial. She wasn’t about to answer for anyone Nathan addressed. L’aire also wasn’t certain whose fashion sense he commented upon. The Silent of the Arrows was sometimes more than just stealth; a type of Thumper logic.

"Um. Sure. Tonight is good for company, yeah." Green flicked a glance over at the alley once more but then quickly focussed on the new people who had just joined them: The burning woman with the picaresque embers flaring in her mantle; and the man with his animalistic features.

Turning to the Hunterheart, he added: "Yes. Friend. Sasha is good. Makes friends easy."

    Mask

Kyle is handsome, with a strong jawline that is usually marred with stubble or an unkempt beard. He has short, messy brown hair that is often hidden beneath a hat. When he moves about he is accompanied by the sound of rustling foliage. He has bright, expressive brown eyes.
    Mien

Kyle's hair - his real hair - is comprised of short, tangled vines. He sports hornlike growths of twisted branches behind his pointed, elegant ears. His skin tone is tinted with the slightest hint of green, and is covered with crisscrossing white scars on his back and arms. His hair on his face and body is green and fibrous like the tufts on an ear of corn. Shifting vines grow from his palms, which are usually coiled around his hands like bandages. His irises are dull and pale.

"Yeah. Well, sorta. I can't think of a better way to describe it." More like the time I dared my buddy to brake a kaleidoscope over his head. But that kind of crass humor isn't likely to work around Sasha.

If he isn't imagining things, the air seems to have gotten colder at the giant's approach. Upon further, somewhat closer inspection, Kyle decides the man could very well have been a mountain if he was sitting off in the distance. Heh. This guy could hide in plain sight from me. He smiles up at the man. He isn't quite sure if offering the big guy a handshake would just be an awkward mess. So he nods politely.

"Green it is, then. I'm Chris."

Soon after Green's arrival, Kyle gets the answer to his question: Lucy is joining them. And she is... really blurry. Kyle squints a little, finally deciding the girl's hair seems to be made out of fire. That's neat. "Chris." he says, taking the fire-girl's hand politely. It's less a hand shake and more a somewhat archaic greeting of a gentleman and lady. He doesn't kiss it though. "Love the hair, by the way. Really makes an entrance." He grins, dancing around stating the obvious.

At the touch on his arm, his attention turns back to L'aire. He is very nearly startled by the gesture, but it's a pleasant surprise. He smiles warmly. "Sounds like a plan. Though I should probably follow your lead." Despite himself, he feels a little warmth spreading to his cheeks. Walking around and being close to her is exactly what he wants to do. Then, he hears another familiar voice. Saying her name. Oh man. This could get... interesting.

"Nathan!" Kyle's hand reaches back to touch the base of his hair. "Yeah... it was time for a change." As the Hunterheart makes his own introductions, Kyle feels slightly better about not being the only 'new guy'. He doesn't even mind the jab. "Hey, man, at least you're honest with yourself." He chuckles a bit.

You know what really looked cool when you'd had two thick fingers a couple of times?

Christmas lights. There was something stunning about 'em at the best of times, but get a couple of drinks in a person? That'll add Christmas cheer to anybody's day. His tummy had that whiskey warmth, and as he chewed gum and let his minty breath fill the air, he almost figured he could drive. He wasn't gonna drive. That would be fucking stupid. But he figured he could, if the situation called for it.

Hopefully, the situation wouldn't call for it.

The grey-skinned, scarred Wizened stopped before a particularly beautiful display, taking it in. The corner of his lip curled upward, and the Summer Courtier ran his hand through his swoopy hair. Kids were about, eyes alight with wonder. He actually liked kids a fair bit. Innocent, wide-eyed - and safe from the troubles of the world, so long as Mommy and Daddy could keep 'em. Christmastime was their time.

    They deserved it.

Wexler's Zippo appeared in his hand, snapping open and flashing a flame as he lit a cigarette between clenched teeth and pursed lips, drawing deeply from it to suck in the warm smoke. So much for minty breath, but hot damn if he wasn't gonna keep up with the Joneses.

It seems like the Threatre of Lights draws many changelings. Of course, the Lost are always keen to go to public events with enough people. Enough to stop feeling lonely.

'Well I'm glad to be here!' the Fireheart reassures L'aire.

Then she turns to the feather-faced Hunterheart with a curious expression, 'Hello there, uh, yes.' She smiles, because everyone was friends with the Fairest, and not, for example, anyone else. 'I'm Lucy Morgan, pleasure to meet you.'

'Green, Chris, you guys too.' A good evening to meet new folks, definitely. She looks at the Winter Mountain. 'So you're Degnar's friend, right?'

As if she heard so much about him.

The Elemental is sincerely flattered by Kyle, 'Oh thank you sir, you don't look bad yourself.' Lucy is not one to make real compliments, but by the way she looks, the Minstrel could tell she speaks the truth.

So busy meeting new people, she doesn't notice the latest arrival, yet.

The mountain looked down upon the flaming woman, at first with a certain suspicion, which grew to something less suspicious but still decidedly neutral, as he took in the mantle with its flaring, cold, embers. A mantle of winter.

"Yeah. Degnar and me? We like brothers, yeah."

He spoke as if those short sentences explained it all. As he did, his eyes were already flicking to the Wizened. The summer mantle was quite strong, given the weather. Green could feel the warm even from where he stood. As it became obvious that the wizened was hanging around, the Archer's eyes simply settled on him.

L’aire was trying to be discreet about Chris’ problem. “Oh, I uh, thought you… um okay.” Apparently, he didn’t seem to mind. She felt a little stupid, like over helping someone handicapped and maybe embarrassing them. The Onyx realized she’d probably have to talk to him about that if it ever came up in private. She saw him blush though, L’aire didn’t quite get why.

Continuing to observe their surroundings, which was now par for the course due to a damn dragon, the Fairest saw some dude. The grey-skinned Wizened had arrived, and her eyes flicked over him, while he flicked his lighter a few times. She snickered, as she looked to her Fireheart friend. “Well Lucy, I guess that guy over there is too late to have a Doors moment and light your fire.” Smiling, although her poor attempt at the joke went better in her head.

The Onyx didn’t realize she may have been nervous. Although L’aire’s body normally seemed in motion, it wasn’t but her fingers were subconsciously tapping out a tune while her hand was on Chris’ arm.

L’aire nodded when Malcolm said brothers. “They sure are.” She wasn’t positive, but they may have been a Motley. “Other than the Club leader, its usually been a bunch of guys. But, now there’s you too.” Her smile turned warm with a relieved look on her face. The guys to L’aire didn’t seem to understand, or they were just standoffish to her.

A smirk worked its way around Wexler's clenched teeth which held the cigarette for him as he drew oxygen through it, brightening the light for an instant before it dimmed and he made the air around him just a little more cancerous.

"Never too late for that," he joked.

He'd heard the gorgeous Fairest. Of course he had - catching little things like that was sometimes the difference between living and dying. Now, he was looking at the group, something distant about his gaze. He flicked his lighter out, snapping it open and flicking the fire once, twice, three times, the heat of the burning butane only adding and flowing into that of his significant Mantle.

"Small world, so many folks running into each other here. Name's Wexler. How y'all doing tonight?"
