Einstein strolled in, whistling a merry tune. A different place this time. That was interesting; it seemed the local Consilium had more than a few places to gather, which was always a good thing. As long as the Banishers didn't catch on and burn the place down with them inside, of course. Tonight, she had opted to wear some comfortable clothes, once again. A simple black t-shirt, with a picture of Iron Man on it, and a pair of blue jeans, all accompanied by a pair of dark blue and red sneakers. Parliament, once again, sat on her shoulder, his head spinning and whirling to examine the room; he always did love new places. She made a beeline for the mini-bar, realizing her hunger only now, that a solution presented itself.

Eager to establish himself within the Consilium, Truce arrives as well to the four star hotel, heading straightaway to the conference room that was booked for them. He wears something respectable in a suit and tie, hoping to make a good impression or at least avoid any looks of disapproval. However, considering the rather informal attire of some at the last gathering, Truce suspected this may have been unnecessary.

Seeing the familiar face of Einstein, his suspicions rang true. He approaches the woman with a soft but friendly smile. "Good evening, Einstein. I know so few here still, I hope you don't mind if I visit with you for the moment." Truce orders a red wine from the mini-bar. A little social lubricant would provide some aid. "How are you adjusting to the city so far, might I ask?"

Between Banishers at her college to it being the second year away from home for Christmas, she wasn't going to let all that, and more, bring her down this holiday season. Halloween was still her favorite, but Christmas could have been a tough contender, if not for all the bull shit stress...

Still it probably ranked second, but then again there was Fourth of July with those amazing fireworks...

Third maybe...

Weavebreaker strode into the Bismark rocking a Santa Hat and with mistletoe in hand, all while wearing a smile and the aura of a sleeper. She knew the season was just as rough for a lot of people, as very few in the Consilium were actually from Sacramento, and most would probably spend the holiday away from family...

But at least they could try to enjoy it with a different sort of family...

"Ho ho ho." Weavebreaker said to Einstein and Truce as she moved past to hold down another table in close proximity to the minibar.

"How are you all doing today?" She said in passing to be polite, but not intrude too much in the conversation they already had going...

Fate didn’t really feel like dressing up for Consilium, so she didn’t. But she still wanted to look nice, you never knew who you would run into after all. So she picked an oversized white sweater and paired it with a black pair of yoga style pants. She wore flat sandals with it, making her stand at her natural height. Her long blonde hair was down and flowing around her shoulders. Before leaving her apartment, she quickly cast Temporial Eddies.

Blue eyes scan the room as she enters, but she doesn’t recognize anyone. Which sucked, but she guesses she could meet new people. So she offers a smile to those who make eye contact with her. But right now. She moves towards the minibar before deciding who to talk to.

While Miach didn't have much to do at the Consilium, and yet there he was, idly entering the meeting. Why ? Even he couldn't say. Perhaps it was the need to feel like he belonged somewhere, and it was the only possible outlet. Perhaps it was Fate guiding his steps. Perhaps he was merely bored, and he hoped to idle the hours away.

Around him were three mages already engaged in talk, as well as another Acanthus whom he had met but never really talked with. And she was near the minivar too. Easy choice. The doctor casually made his way toward Faye , smiling friendly as he knew how to. "Good evening, Faye. How are you this evening ?"

[Avis]

So.

Some people thought wizards liked funny hats. Well, they were fucking wrong. Avis had only seen two Mages, ever, wear funny hats, and they had been pretty strange themselves. Ok, now make that three, but Weave had that whole cheerful blonde thing going so it really wasn't that unbelievable. The point was: obviously funny hats were a misconception. The fact that she was wearing one, today, her first time at an informal yet official gathering? Well, she had her reasons. Arcane reasons which would never be known to any but herself and a certain Guardian with an elephantine memory.

It was best not to be thought about. So she didn't. It really wasn't that hard. The jeans, blouse, and jacket were distracting enough. As were the new faces.

"Sup," she said simply, walking up to the group of new blood next to Weave.

Probably looking like an idiot.

Einstein squinted at Truce for a second, adjusting her glasses, and then smiled. "Oh, hi! Truce, right?" She grabbed an hors d'oevre off the table and stuffed it in her mouth with one mouth, extending the other to him to shake. "Nice to see you again. How've you been?" When Weavebreaker showed up behind him, in her santa hat, Einstein's smile widened even more. "Weavebreaker! Long time no see. Well, a month or so, but, still." She pointed at the mistletoe in the other woman's hand. "Who's that for? Got a special someone hanging around here you've been looking for an excuse to mistletoe with?" It might have seemed like she was joking, but she was legitimately curious. Einstein never joked about finding out new things. Or, well...she rarely joked. Only like 30% of the time, by her calculations.

[Truce]

Truce takes the woman's hand in his own for a traditional shake. "Been rather busy, actually. Studies, work, Oblation, the daily toil."

"Oh, yes, hello," says Truce to the jolly woman he hasn't met before. "Season's greetings," he adds as an afterthought, to be polite. He notes Einstein's mention of her Shadow Name, Weavebreaker, and is about to make his own introduction when she is joined by the Sentinel.

Instead, he smiles weakly as new factors modify the avenues of socially accepted behavior. Proximity implies that a lengthy conversation is not desired, yet Einstein pursues further interaction with her inquiry about the mistletoe. Truce takes the opportunity to sip his wine.
