The sumo remained silent, observing as the discussion of his cabalmate was had and the penance she would have to endure. He agreed wholeheartedly with Avis' assessment of learning, especially of her use of the word pain. It was the best teacher around.
When Asp spoke, Jonokuchi nodded once, in total agreement of the punishment.
A tiny smirk appeared as he imagined handing over his broom to Weave. There would be much sweeping involved.

Weavebreaker eyes moved from person to person as they spoke. She stayed silent as the decided what course of action they would take against her breach. It was strange to her, but she couldn't help but think back to her childhood days watching Fantasia where Micky Mouse stole the Wizard's wand to help him clean and it backfired...

Mace let out a breath. "To my mind, there's a difference between serving With the Sentinels, and performing disciplinary tasks under the direction of the Sentinels," she said to address Avis' point. "The first is an honor. The second is punitive." She nodded at the Hierarch. "I think it's a fitting punishment. I'm sure the sentinels can come up with somethintg sufficiently punishing." She also thought that they were spending too much time on this. Just because she didn't have any clear ideas, doesn't mean she shouldn't leave it to someone who would.

Well. Yeah. That was a good point. They declared magic forbidden and the Sentinels would enforce it. Not that she didn't trust Weavebreaker not to keep her word, but that couldn't be the precedent for everyone. For this, though, it seemed like a decent choice of consequence. Not quite as harsh as Avis felt like it should be, but then again, there was an emotional element that she hadn't really been considering. So, hopefully it wouldn't be painless, but more than that, hopefully it would help Weavebreaker to learn.
"Sounds like a good first ruling," Avis replied after several beats. "I vote that we sentence Weavebreaker to, ah, such consequences as the Hierarch has spoken of. All in favor?"
It was the most fair proposal he had seen. The Obrimos nodded. He raised his hand in favor, "I support this." That was all that needed to be said from his end.

Striker straightened, suddenly attentive and alert as he took a short shallow breath in. He'd been paying attention to Weavebreaker's judgement of course. But now The Weasel was up and he didn't know what to expect from the manipulative mop head.

The judgement for Weavebreaker was close enough to what she'd suggested as it needs to be. It fulfills the purpose and desire for a minor penance, and sets a good example for them to use going forward. It's also close enough for government work. She raises her hand to vote 'yes', because why wouldn't she vote for nearly her own punishment. The distinction that Avis made about privilege to serve is not lost on her, and the thoughtfulness of that brings a raised eyebrow.
Weavebreaker is done. Not quite as efficiently as she hoped, but they got there. The next one she expects to be more complicated and actually contested. She hopes Striker would have the tact that Weavebreaker did, but if what everyone's been saying for months, that's probably not going to happen. She sighs and waits for Star to fill them in officially on this matter.
