Mace stepped into the side room they had commandeered for the judgements. They had much to discuss, and two Magi who were accused with breaking the veil. At least the recess had given them time to gather their thoughts and get out from in front of the firing squad of the consilium. She would have preferred the transparency, if only because then the Consilium could see the process, and understand what was asked of them. Not that she had any idea what she was asking of them, she hadn't wanted this. Maybe this was for the best.
She sighed, and sat at the table, and waited for the others. She reached into her pocket, and began fiddling with a length of wire, holding it in her hands so that it wouldn't be seen by the other councilors. She couldn't show them just how nervous she was.
