The Daeva's eyes go wide seeing the flame. A tidal wave of fear crashes into him. The Beast slammed up against the cage, his instincts screaming with every fiber, run or be scorched. Cordoba contained the terrible urge - for the moment at least.
2 to resist, -1 will
The last thing they needed was for an actual Kindred to be left with the Kine. This was already a clusterfuck of a Masquerade Breach. Leaving Edwin behind would assuredly end with both him and Konrad being turned into ashtrays. "Let us leave peacefully, please." He nodded to their fallen comrade.

Armond looks at Juan, bewildered, then - at the prone Lord and at the wounds on both Juan and Konrad. And then the man laughs: it's a guffaw, deep and hearty, with no mockery left in there. He knows they are winning, why negotiate?
Karl shakes his head in the corner, no doubt wondering how exactly they got here from a quiet room that he remembers from just a few minutes ago:
"Just give up", - he looks straight at Juan and his eyes motion to the door.
Vassagon is up!
Konrad tries to keep his focus off the flames, his Beast still screaming in his head. But he has enough sense of himself to know that he has to defend himself and Edwin. If anything, Juan's pleas might've distracted their attackers. Konrad hefts his prybar and launches himself at the knife-wielding Kine to strike a blow, throwing himself wide open in the process, screaming an unpracticed warcry.
Konrad depletes his WP to 0, No Defense
Before he had a chance to react, Konrad made one last ditch effort. The Toreador was not so stout of heart. His will was shattered. The Red Feared overwhelmed him. He ran like a bat out of hell.

Armond's helper reels from Konrad's hit, taking a step back and waving his arms in order to keep balance. His gaze goes clouded with bloodlust as the man becomes completely focused on his attacker. The vicious blade flashes, eerily re-tracing the trajectory of the technique Karl used not so long ago. Luckily, this time it doesn't paralyze Konrad's arm but the damage is still horrible: his heavy leather clothes are little more than sliced up rags by now providing no more protection.
Ignoring the harmless Daeva, Armond comes closer to gang up on Konrad: Gangrel's eyes grow wide just before the man acts on his intent, giving the Vampire a face-full of improvised burning torch. Konrad can feel and smell the lower half of his face sizzling away, exposing flesh and bone alike. The pain is excruciating and the Beast grabs the Man by the rains and pulls, threatening to break sanity.
Meanwhile, Juan loses all control as the world turns red and the only bright spot is the door to the apartment. The door that isn't locked with a key. He lurches to it, throwing ajar the way to freedom.
Konrad gets 3L and 2A and loses Armor. Roll Res + Comp -4 against Rotschreck (hungry, burned by fire). Juan moves to the door and opens it. The students remain in the corner, concerned only with their safety.
Vassagon is up!
Seeing the Kine remain standing was a blow in itself for Konrad. What follows is the pain promised him by his failure. The pain from the fire is unlike anything he's felt before, an agony that echoes throughout his being. Yet somehow he clings to a shred of cognizance amid the lick of flame and steel.
Yeah...alright, I did what I could. Sorry, Eddie, he thinks as he twists around Armond and the knife wielder, trying to get to the door, trying to avoid taking further damage. "Help me and I'll owe ya," he calls to the Kine teens in his desperation.
Konrad moves to the exit at Speed 12 while Dodging

As Konrad flees, his reeling opponent hurls his blade at the Gangrel's back, embedding it in the door instead. It sinks several inches into the wood with a loud thud. Just when the Gangrel thinks he is home-free, Armond catches up to him, having dropped his improvised torch. The cult leader's hand clutches at the Vampire's clothes preventing Konrad from moving any further.
The last thing that Konrad feels is another knife going right between his shoulder blades bringing agony with it. The last thing that Konrad sees is Juan's back as the cowardly Daeva runs down the stairs at top speed, his Beast taking immediate advantage of the created opening. The last thing that Konrad hears is Karl's voice:
"My pleasure, motherfucker".
And then Konrad joins Edwin in the darkness.
Aaaand scene! Great job, people. Vassagon and Forn Clakes , don't lose hope, your toons aren't dead yet. ErlangShen , Juan runs like hell from the house until the Beast finally feels safe.
Separate follow-up threads will be opened tomorrow for Edwin and Konrad and for Juan.
Vass and FC, please write your toons out of all their threads. We need to resolve this before you can continue (if your toons survive, of course). I will do my best to post in your plot thread as quickly as possible so that we can get to the end quickly.
