It still felt odd to consider this the safe side of the river, as she stared across its waters towards downtown Sacramento. For years that had been the safe haven, where the Forsaken of the city had carved out their territory. For years that had been her land, and she'd stared out at where she stood now, knowing that it was where the Pure waited.

Now it was just the opposite. On this side of the river she could roam. But on the other side, in the heart of downtown Sacramento, was where the Pure's influence was most strongly felt.

It was also, according to their totem, near where spirits of revelry and confection were beginning to draw attention. All...while independent, it seemed, not answering to any known court. And Firebringer had decided it was time to figure out what was going on with them. So they'd made their way here, a staging area of sorts, the closest they could get while still being reasonably safe. It wouldn't be long until the rest of the pack arrived, and then they could head out.

Any objection to declaring this thread as taking place in the Hisil?

Daniel follows shortly after Chantay in his newly Dedicated leather jacket and his old brass-knuckles in his pocket.

Damn, it is good to have a Ritemaster again.

None could ever replace the Mountain Spring but this Pack was proving to be something completely new. Something powerful. Before the others arrive, Dan addresses Chantay:

"You taking point on negotiations, Slick?" - after all, she is the most capable. Firebringer has his charms but it's mostly useful for scaring the pants off people. Or Spirits.

Aeneas pads out of the ether. Out here in the Spirit Wilds he has given up the Man entirely and stalks the Shadow in Urshul. Muzzle to the ground he tracks his pack mates. Muscles ripple beneath shaggy fur. Four silver brands glow with an ethereal light upon his flesh.

    Marks of renown.

Aeneas is no longer a cub. He is Chorus.

There is only a hint of a growl - an acknowledgement - drooling from his maw as he joins his pack.

    Aeneas is in URSHUL

A black shape drifts from one shadow to another, almost beneath notice. By now, though, his pack surely knew which signs to look for, and it comes as little surprise when the shape finally resolves itself into their alpha's Urshul bulk.

«Only so long as they remain negotiations.»

Tony walked up, in boring old Hishu. His gaze remained fixed on the other side of the river though, at what was his territory. It was an odd and foreign perspective to see the old turf from across the river, watching his land with the same angry gaze countless Anshega likely watched before him.

"This feels backwards." Tony muttered more to himself then anyone else as he finally made his approach. When he finally made it to the sides of his pack, he broke his focus on the thing he had lost and looked to Chantay and Firebringer. "Do we have any plans on what we're doing or are we going on the fly?"

Tony knew on the fly was bad. Digger had tried to barge into the front door of the Greed Court once upon a time and it almost got the whole pack killed. On the fly was bad.

"And if they're even called for." Because, really, they knew almost nothing about these spirits. Just that they were starting to make a name for themselves, drawing attention, all without the backing of a Chorus. They might prove to be an issue, or they might not. It was too early to tell.

"I think we need to try to find one or two of them and just...try to figure out what they're up to, what their goals are. Right now we know nothing about them. Not if they're a threat, not if they could be possible allies against the Anshega, nothing. Or maybe find another spirit that can tell us about them. Because until we can get some sort of information on them...it's just hard to know how they should be handled."

Marcus followed quickly behind Tony, standing tall and bluntly physical in Dalu, though that was more for the fact that he couldn't make use of his favorite holds with paws rather than any effort towards negotiation. They had Slick for that, and Marcus was perfectly happy with that arrangment. He glanced over at their Ritemaster and Alpha, to see whether any orders were incoming; then started to look over the terrain surrounding this new gaggle of spirits. A lack of knowledge is a dangerous thing, especially when you're going up against beings that know the area.

By now Daniel has become so used to perceiving absolutely everything as a potential threat, it is disconcerting. It is just Urdaga's luck that most Spirits hate their guts for their half-breed nature and it is all-too-easy to forget that Hisil is just the backbone of the material world: both good and bad. Well, mostly bad, at least in a Megapolis.

A brief faint smile flickers across his features as the Rahu remembers the Spirits in the wilderness: a lot more feral but also easier to understand and work with. You try to befriend a concept Spirit, you will be begging for an animal or elemental one to deal with. Unfortunately, Spirits of emotion is exactly what they are searching far. Hopefully, Slick knows how to deal with them.

"Lead the way. Should we start looking for clues of their presence?"
