Jonokuchi frowned at Striker's words, confused slightly. His eyes narrowed. Others began to talk and in their noise, the ex-sumo leaned down to whisper Asp .
"I witnessed him using Vulgar magic in a battle with Sleepers," he said, eyes turning to the youthful Sentinel. "Every strike was like a gunshot."
Despite his quiet tones it was obvious Jonokuchi was concerned. The responsibility that had been placed on his shoulders was important to him.
Samaritan - please roll Manip+Subterfuge-3 difficulty. On a failure, his furiousness is obvious to any who look at him.

Idun gives a nod at the mention at them being in power due to a temporary Lex that may evolve into a more permanent one once everything has become more... official. It bugs her that Striker's old action is being brought before the council. Really, if the matter with Striker was to be dealt with, then Leo should be the one to bring it up.
"Given Leo's involvement with Striker's case and that he is not here to bring the matter up, as he had been the Sentinel at the time this unveiling had occurred, must we purse the matter right now? I believe we are focus on Waverbreaker's judgement and should decide on that before moving onto another case." Idun inquires, also reminding them that they were getting off topic concerning the first case of Vulgar magic.

Pepper chewed her lip as Ermac answered, clearly without reading the papers in front of him. She sighed. "Actually Councilor Ermac , as I did not know that we would be switching to a provisional Lex, there are Previous Verdicts under each Precept. Though using them as a guide or building your own is up to you."

Asp's eyes caught a glance of Bishop. The surface was calm, tranquil waters over the fury beneath. As Jonokuchi sidled up next to her, she met the Guardian's eyes and cocked her head slightly to the side inquisitively, as if to silently ask if he was good. The last thing that was required right now was a blowout in Consilium that the Sentinels were required to handle.
Jonokuchi's whisper only made matters worse. She closed her eyes for a moment, thinking. How could Striker be so silly as to do that twice?
"Gotta do your duty, man. Honour-bound," she murmured back. Their duty was to the Consilium, even if its nascent Council was busily handwringing. She figured she didn't need to explain further. What was going on with the Archangels? Dropping vulgar magic? And Leo disappearing?

Why was she not surprised?
Her fingers found her temples as she pressed into them a little bit as though to ease the coming migraine. Clearly the Councillors needed an opportunity to speak in private and sort shit out, because right now? All of this looked - and felt - disorganized. Chaotic. Day one of the brand new Concilium.
It was just a nightmare, quite entirely, and tempers were liable to be riled up even further in the process of progressing through the night's itinerary... and Zodiac was carefully watching the mood of the room, prepared for the enactment of any potential violence. Hell with this, let them all blather politics back and forth as they wanted, but of all the tempers she was most concerned about...

Her gaze settled on Avis once again, her brows furrowed as she tried to gauge the other woman's state.
Nightmares. Definitely.

Ermon rubs his eyes, suddenly aware of just how tired he is. Is this what he aspires to? What he wants to do when he proves something to these people.
"This isn't going anywhere", - a murmur that only Ariadne would probably hear.
And then louder:
"Maybe it's better the Councillors judge the offenders privately? We can always have a proper hearing if the Council can't agree with them on a punishment?"
Really, this was getting ridiculous. Having such a public discussion when only a couple Ladders in the Concillium knew a damn thing about the Lex. And then there is the fact that the provisional charter was still new. What a mess.

He'd lost count of how many people had said 'Keep Talking' and how many had said 'Weavebreaker First'. Because he was totally keeping score. He just didn't know how many votes the head of the Councilor Bunch should be worth. But, in the end, it was really only one or two that actually mattered -- to him. And more like one than two, but who's counting, right?
Just for future reference, remember, Who Speaks First Gets Decided First. That might be important, later. There was also the 'Magus' and 'Maga' bit, which was kind of cool. Altho, he personally preferred 'diabolist'. Maybe they could have name tags:

He was perfectly aware that he was an Angel, and so a Theurgist, but, seriously, Diabolist sounded way cooler. Magus. Star. That wasn't... terrible. Maybe 'Star' was just growing on him.
Could he announce a s'name change? Like, now? Big Man had just tossed out the roommie thing randomly...?
Speaking of, those Sentinels. Already. Whispering.
In his first two months, the Sentinels had done nothing. About anything. Well -- that wasn't strictly true. Ignoring and rug-sweeping is something, right? And no one cared. Still didn't. It'd be legit lame if Asp turned into one of those Sentinels.
Eventually, he just found a place to sit, leaned back, and closed his eyes. If someone wanted answers? They'd yell and wake him up. Just like in school, yo.
This? Cafeteria crazy.
48 hours since it became Weavebreaker's turn to answer. Let's keep this rockin'.
The people who thought this was becoming a clusterfuck weren't alone. Too many voices talking, too many people who had no business in the discussion tossing their two cents in. This wasn't a public circlejerk sentencing session. This was a courtroom of five, hearing an accused person's submission.
Like in Law and Order.
Usually there was a defence lawyer doing the talking, but Weavebreaker hadn't bothered.
And sometimes, when a courtroom got rowdy...
"Hey. Order, Mages. If you aren't Weavebreaker, a Councilor or Consilium officer, the Lictor, or someone asked by one of those people for testimony, the middle of Weavebreaker's sentencing probably isn't the time. You'll get your chance. Let's keep this business moving in an orderly fashion."
She wasn't yelling. She didn't need to. The young Sentinel had taught more than enough martial arts to rowdy kids to know how to project to be heard without screaming. Her head panned about the room, as if she were scanning over each and every Awakened. Order. Procedure. Doing it right. It was important.
