Thomas rises, averts his eyes a moment, overly focused on undoing the top button of his suit jacket. From the way his hand trembles and the way his jaw sets, it's plain to see he's wrestling with your common curse. After a moment, he returns his eyes and inclines his head.
"Good evening to you all." He scans the faces of the four who'd come to answer his call, Mrs. Yui being the only of them he'd had the pleasure of meeting before. "I am Father Thomas Galilei. Welcome to my church." He approaches a short distance down the main aisle so they don't have to shout, bidding Verne to do the same. "Thank you all for coming."
Verne follows reluctantly, listens as the newly arrived strangers introduce themselves, exchange handshakes and pleasantries.
OOC: So that we don't get caught up for a day or more on introductions, go ahead and write what your character did and said upon meeting everyone else at the front end of your post before responding to the relevant business that follows.
In the silence that follows the formalities, Thomas places a hand on Verne's shoulder, seemingly a signal that the Gangrel should speak.
(Vernon "Verne" Lepke, Blood Potency: 1, Aspect of the Predator)
"Hey, everyone. I'm Verne." He waves weakly, still avoiding eye contact. "I'm with the 'Missing Link' coterie--we stay, using Earth Havens, at the Sacro Zoo. Things are clusterfucked right now."
He rubs his hands together, wipes them on the front of his pants, and then buries them deep into his pockets, now bouncing and turning his head from side to side. He coughs, and then pours out like a flood: "We never bothered nobody, so I don't why this happened. Shit, I know less than nothing about anything. Some guys showed up and took our leader. I didn't see nothing; I wasn't there--some animals told me. Now everything's a mess. One of the ghouled animals they got locked up in some science pen at the Zoo, getting lab tests to figure out what's up with it wiling out and bending its cage bars. Another ghoul straight left out in search, gone hunting for them that did this. Meanwhile the other two coterie-folks is talking crazy stuff about what they're going to do. The cops is sniffing. And I don't even know who them guys who took Noah was, what the fuck they want, or if they'll be back. Like I said: clusterfucked. I come straight here, soon as I heard."
Thomas rubs his eyes, clearly overwhelmed with the whole situation: the loose ends, the lack of details in Verne's account. He looks over to would-be investigators and shakes his head, as if to pass the torch, wash his hands of the whole mess. "Verne's ready to answer any of your questions, to go with you on whatever course of action you decide." He checks his watch. "You're welcome to stay here and discuss as long as you like, but I have other business to attend to. Both Verne and Mrs. Yui know how to reach me, should the need arise. God bless." With that, the Priest departs, leaving you with Verne.
Verne's uncomfortable smile is missing teeth. He scratches his head behind his ear and waits.
