The Obrimos chuckled and smiled. "What do I want to be when I grow up?" He repeated with fond nostalgia. "Funny how we have limitless ideas at first."

Ermac laughed once again, "Boss would imply I bark orders at people all day. I get enough of that from my boss." He paused, gears were turning as he was thinking. "This will certainly surprise you. At the moment, I do not know what I want to be." The I.T. associate had an introspective expression. "I want to learn what roles we have present within our Assembly. I want to see who takes up what position. At that time I believe, I will have my mind made up."

"My best suit is your opposite - Forces." Fate's mysteries eluded his grasp. The so-called "Laws" of Science did not evade him. "I am definitely more inclined toward cerebral pursuits." He smiled once more, "By touching a machine, I can learn the password. So, I have been referred to as ninja in that regard."

Falstaff had never met a computer ninja before. Most days, he couldn't even spell "PC." "I guess you never get locked out of your email then."

Ermac has good answers. It makes Falstaff want to ask him lots of important questions, but he can't think of any, except what "cerebral" means. He decides on something more practical: "Sorry about the ketchup and the cartwheel . . . and the beer last time; sometimes I get excited around new people." He'd been about to apologize for the boobs, but changed his mind. "Can you force them to like me? Or tell me their passwords so I can do it myself?" He tries to laugh, but can't manage it.

The Theurge laughed again. "Not once have I been locked out of my email."

As the discussion turned toward coercing the rest of the Libertines the Councilor raised a brow. Then slowly shook his head, "No, it doesn't quite work like that." This was a challenge to relate to this man. He certainly wasn't about to put ideas into Falstaff's head about the potentials of Mind Arcana.

"You see, Falstaff, what you did, did not present the best side of yourself." Spending time with Human Resources certainly helped him in articulation. A natural Fencer and Fortune-Maker was someone he wanted to keep as a friend. "You want others to see the best qualities you have. What they saw was someone who embodied The Fool."

He paused allowing the Acanthus to reflect on his actions at the Assembly. "What I am for you, I am someone you can speak to in private without fear." It was like dealing with his colleagues. They needed guidance.

"I cannot force someone to like me." He was channeling the wise old man trope. "Any time someone forces people to do anything, they hate that person for doing so."

Ermac spoke with a helpful, father-like voice, "What you can do is demonstrate to them how good you are. The maxim of actions speak louder than words is true. Show the Free Council you want to do good. Just take it easy, I know it's exciting to meet other people."

Once more another pause. "I accept your apology of the cartwheel, ketchup, everything else and I forgive you." This fellow was eager to improve his standing. "Now, let's develop a plan. What do you think you could do that would persuade the others to think better of you?"

What could he do to make the others think better of him? He'd thought the cartwheel would that, but it hadn't. No, he couldn't assume everyone would like the same things that he liked. They might not even like Shakespeare or ice cream, though that's pretty impossible to believe. No, he had to assume another role to change the audience's reaction. Ermac! That's it. He could act more like Ermac--everyone liked him. What would Ermac do if he were Falstaff? Not be Falstaff. Alright, bad question. What would Ermac do if he were Ermac, but there was already an Ermac. Well, any Ermac, it seemed, would do what needed to be done that no one was doing. What needed to be done that no one else was doing?

Falstaff makes an epic attempt at thought, furrowing his brow, squinting his eyes--it's very similar to constipation. Finally, an idea: "Well, you'd brought up money during the meeting, and it didn't seem like anyone had any or anything to say about how to get some. Maybe I could work on that? Getting some money, while everyone else is chasing down the Glow Banishers, so that they can have food and sofas and cable TV and stuff? I could do some performances or win some money gambling with a little help from Fate--not too much though, the Casinos don't like that." Fortunately for him, they'd never thought Falstaff smart enough to count cards.

"Glo and Banishers are two separate issues - as far as we know." He clarified for him. "Glo is a dangerous drug. Banishers are dangerous Awakened."

This was what Falstaff needed - a stage. Ermac nodded approvingly. "I am pleased to see that you are stepping up to contribute to the Treasury."

This was going swimmingly, "I suggest sticking to performances. I imagine you have a comedy skit that you could do." He cautioned the man, "Hold off on gambling. I'd like for you have back-up." Ermac joked, "As you well know, it's okay for them to clean people out but they get all uppity when the reverse happens. Go figure."

If he was to ensure the Acanthus remained "in character," the Obrimos needed to provide a carrot of sorts. "If this project goes successfully, it may surprise the others in a good way."

Good, this is good. Falstaff could be like Ermac while still being like himself. Good thing--he's terrible at Sudoku. "Comedy: good idea--I can't even play Jesus without making people laugh. That's what I'l do, and then we can buy coasters and matching t-shirts and bazookas. And ice cream. Well . . . I don't know. Anytime I get money it disappears and I end up with all this weird stuff. I once bought a pair of high heels that Cher wore just because I wanted to outbid everyone else. Now i have ten pounds of rhinestones I don't know what to do with. Maybe someone else should be the boss of having money, and I can be the boss of making money, just my own boss of course--Free Council, rah!" He's learning already. "I met this secret society of sword fighting models; maybe they can help me get a gig, or even be a part of my show?" Falstaff's mind goes wild over the possibilities--he could make them outfits with the rhinestones from Cher's shoes.

Organizing a show. That would be interesting. Possibly profitable too. Falstaff mentioning bazookas warranted a correction. "Yes, we'll have matching bazookas...Bazooka Joe bubble gum." He nodded, listening to the rapid fire rate of speech.

Ten pounds of rhinestones. An impulse buyer. Obviously no one bothered with this man and let him do as he wished without care.

Although a few devious thoughts entered his mind. Crank's focus is Matter...rhinestone bullets anyone?

He had to remain on task. "You can be your own boss, yes. However, I would appreciate you informing me of what you have in mind ahead of time." Further clarification, "Don't think of me as your boss, as you're now an entrepreneur. Think of me as..." What was that term again?....

"Think of me as your angel investor." Ermac was not above puns.

"And let me meet these individuals as well, please."

Mmm . . . bubble gum. "Sure thing, I'll call you ahead of time to let you know when I get a gig. I might even give you a discount on tickets, since you're my angel investor."

Falstaff smiles and smacks Ermac on the arm when he asks about the sword-fighting super models. "You would want to meet them, huh? I thought you were staying out of trouble slash marriage? Did you want to meet them over ice cream or something, or do you want to come to the next fencing class?"

Falstaff begins to wonder which babe he should set his angel investor up with. Terri Speaking seemed to be getting over someone still, which might take time . . . but Ermac seems patient. And Martha seemed most concerned about Terri's legs. Falstaff wonders how Ermac's legs would compare. Maybe Martha liked girls' legs because she only has one leg? Or maybe she likes girls' legs because she likes girls? Or maybe both? Falstaff might have to lend Ermac his Cher shoes if he goes out on a date with Martha.

Give me a discount? That was an amusing thought. Not that cost particularly mattered to him. I.T. paid decent salary.

If that was what Falstaff believed then so be it. "Thank you very much. I admit I have no training with weaponry." If Falstaff's perceptions were accurate, meeting super models armed with swords...was a tiny bit intimidating.

Not one to walk away from a challenge, "I'd be happy to attend the next session. If I lose, then I can say I lost to a hot chick."

"No problem," Falstaff encourages. "I'll bet you could learn anything fast."

Falstaff checks his watch, remembers that he doesn't wear one, realizes that he's just eager to put together a routine. He wonders how many hours it takes to learn to juggle chainsaws. "Better to lose to hot chicks than to win with stinky dudes any day . . . unless losing involves death . . . or winning involves . . . well, you get the point.

He stands, removes his white overcoat, and then offers it to Ermac. "Maybe you should have this." He could always steal another one from a high school chemistry closet. "You're the one that seems to have this whole thing down to a science." He winks.
