So this Tommy Guy is an addict, huh? Jeffrey thought to himself as he pieced that new information with what he had heard from his buddies underground. He starts to harden his mask, hiding his teeth, eyes and pale skin with the normal hues of an average white american. "I'm Jeffrey. Walking sounds like a great idea." He said it with a grin. Let them think he was stupid for now, the better to catch them off guard in the future.

He took stock of the motley crew that were there to take advantage of collecting Tommy. Lucy Morgan... She looks pretty tough, and a winter courtier to boot. Make sure to watch out for this one." He warned himself. He had no problem with Winter, but they were sneaky fuckers and earned that reputation the hard way back where he was from.

Antonio Pretty Boy Fuckin' Escobar. Spring Court, Fairest. Stereotype. Dude has connections, though. There has to be something more to him. He made a note to keep an eye on the Fairest, and if they have to get dirty he would be the one to watch

He looks at Milo. Another Fairest, Autumn though. Interesting. Jeffrey didn't spare much thought on Autumn. They were a lot of bookish types, but they did have a penchant for finding shit that they didn't need to have.

And then there's Krumm. Good ol' Krumm." The ogre sneers a little. Krumm was a fellow summer and an ogre, but he still hadn't proven himself to Jeffrey as of yet.

It was all he offered in the way of introduction before hardening his mask. It seems as if the others here already had some sort of plan, and it could generate some goodwill if he were to go along. He nodded in approval at Escobar's suggestion, somewhat relieved to be free of the sweet aroma that once emanated from the fairest.

He didn't know much about the situation at hand, but he listened carefully as the others spoke. Not knowing them or their motivations, it was prudent for the Ogre to be careful. They all may be lost, but he had yet to be sworn to this freehold, and there was no telling what they were capable of.

'Fantastic, great to meet you all.' There's still a hint of sarcasm in Lucy's voice. Maybe she's just paranoid, but, they're all kinda new? So this could be one big set-up from the Freehold. A test of some sort, like, what newcomers are into criminal stuff? And would that be a good or a bad thing?

I guess we'll just have to deal with it.

Part of her might die when she sees Antonio's sexy latino smile, but she's not totally drooling over him. She's not a 14 year old. She playfully shrugs, as if it has no effect on her. Then all the flames die out, her coal black skin becomes white, almost pale. The Elemental hardens her mask, showing the world the redhead she once was. The tough look is replaced by a sweeter girl look, yet her attitude remains the same. Of course.

'Yea, let's walk. We should split up, to cover more ground. A team of two, and a team of three, go left and go right.' She looks at the guys, wondering if they agreed. Then, wink, to Antonio. She grabs her phone from her purse and holds it in the air, waiting for numbers to be exchanged. 'If we see anything suspicious, just give the other team a heads up. A simple text, a WhatsApp group? We can approach the guy from two sides - in case he's here, and in case he suspects something - easy. No escape possible.'

Antonio nodded. "This is a good plan, spread out so we aren't so imposing... but let us stay within sight of each other, shall we?"

Naturally, Antonio was going to follow the smart route. The sorts of places in parks druggies would go and their drug dealers would follow.

"Perhaps, though, we should agree on one thing before we begin. A promise, so we may know we can rely on each other. None of us know each other, so I think it is a good idea if we are working toward the same thing, right? Together, we stand to seek out our quarry. We work as a team for up to the next week, we find our guy, and we decide as a group what to do with him based on what we learn. If we do, we'll be blessed to do it better. If not? Well, then we might find trouble, yes?"

Antonio Escobar is proposing a short-term endeavour Pledge.

"No, " Krumm stated bluntly. While this wasn't quite what he was looking towards doing today, he was sure as hell not going to do it for charity or goodwill alone. He needed resources, connections, allies. The Long Midnight wanted this guy, and they wanted what was stolen from him. There was no need to discuss 'what would be done with him.' His voice dropped as low as he could and he looked at the other courtiers.

"There's nothing to decide. We will work together to find the guy, what he took, and deliver them both to the people he took it from. We'll stay focused on the task at hand, and be better off for it. For a week or until we get the payment promised, and damn anyone who tries to interfere with us."

He spoke firmly and simply. He did not have a problem with swearing an oath with the others; in fact, he preferred it. He just wanted it to be clear what the end game was. This wasn't a mission of mercy. It was a job; one Krumm, at the least, was desperately in need of. If things were not as they seemed, well - that was a problem they could solve after they got paid.

Milo sighed, audibly. Antonio's pledge would have helped all of the changeling's present to find their query, and help alleviate at least some of the trust issues the alleged serendipity of people with similar information and likely similar goals instilled in some.

"Antonio." The Shadowsoul said with a small smile to the Spring courtier. "I'll agree to your arrangement." A slight incline of his head and the Fairest was in motion, eager to see this job over.

Antonio winked at Milo, then skewered the Farwalker with that deadly, handsome smile. Gently, in his accented speech, the Fairest set to work making the deal. He knew what the man wanted. It was just time to change what that was.

"Surely you know locking us into such a direct arrangement could lead to bad things. It's too... rigid. What if this gang are loyal to kidnappers? What if he's got a better deal? What if, what if? There are so many contingencies, so many things we need to know more about. There are things we shouldn't do, given certain outcomes, that your arrangement would lock us into doing. Mine allows us to make the choice based on new intel. Always a good thing, si? I'm all for turning him in, but we don't want to accidentally end up in a bad situation because of a promise, do we?"

That was something any Summer could appreciate.

His smile remained in squarely in place, his tone was perfectly friendly. The Incubus was all about teamwork. It was so important that they all see eye to eye on this sort of a mission.

She looks to Krumm, 'Really, why not? Such a promise also prevents me from sneaking away with Tommy, and cashing in the reward all for myself, capiche?' She doesn't trust these guys, and they shouldn't trust her. Of course, it's just an example of how things can go wrong, for them.

The Elemental crosses her arms, turning away to take a look around, 'Anyway, take your time.'
