Marcus gives the guy at the door a smile and nod as he walks into The Forge. He really hopes that he's been coming here long enough to be recognized by most of the staff by now. If not, the crates of scrap metal in his arms and the toolbelt around his waist might be enough to clue them in to his intentions. After all, the elemental really doesn't want to have to set down his heavy burden just to show his ID. However, if that is what is required, he'll do it without grumbling... too much. Once past security, the crafty elemental heads straight over to the work area under the mezzanine and sets down the two fully loaded crates next to the locked gate in the chain link fence surrounding it. His fingertips brush the metal chain that holds it closed and Marcus is tempted for split second to simply open it his way. However, deciding that would be rude, he drops his hand and walks over to the bar instead. Once Duncan arrives, he'll unlock it, so there's no need for the elemental to be so impatient. After getting the bartender's attention, Marcus orders a Stella and waits for his buddy to join him.

I wonder if anyone's playing tonight?

Walking into the club, Duncan was in a particularly smiley mood, throwing high-fives to security and quickly checking with his bar staff to ensure everything was alright. Apparently the band were running slightly late; something to do with an issue regarding the amps. Glancing over to the stage, the Snowskin could see the band working furiously to get whatever was wrong, fixed.

Glancing up, Duncan spotted Marcus, giving him a wave as he headed up. The t-shirt he was wearing definitely stood out. He was grinning as he slapped Marcus on the back before looking down at his clothes.

"I know. I'm a constant embarrassment to my son."

At the far end of the bar, one of the Forge's newest (and oddest) regulars flipped a page.

Malory Grey, Iron Adjutant to the Summer Court of Sacramento, was sitting on a stool (gently swinging her feet), in The Forge, Reading. A. Book.

She had a set of chunky, industrial looking ear defenders around her neck; blissfully unnecessary so long as those speakers remained bricked, and a half drunk glass of whisky on the bar-top in front of her.

Mal's sense of duty compelled her to at least make an appearance at her Court's theoretical 'HQ' on a regular basis. But there was a limit to how far she was willing to let that compromise go.

The Darkling pulled out his ID before entering into The Forge. Despite the fact he certainly looked old enough.

He was seeking out other Lost and learning more about the Freehold's hidden dangers. A scraggly haired pumpkin headed being with glowing eyes curiously looked around for Unmasked Changelings.

The signs were there. A man whose flesh was entirely metal. Was this "Marcus the metal smith" that Morgan knew? Another with icicles adorning his blonde hair. They both appeared busy with their conversation. It was rude to intrude.

Lastly, Normal people do not have glowing veins. Why the hell was she reading in a night club?

He pushed his way through the crowd to the bar. He certainly wanted beer. Sam ordered a pumpkin ale. Hain looked to the Beast and paid for a credit of whatever she was drinking. It was a way to get the conversation started.

Mal didn't immediately acknowledge the stranger that crossed her peripheral vision. But there was a subtle twitch. A tensing of the shoulders. A reflexive alertness.

After all, one had to police one's personal space religiously in places like this.

"Making sure you get your moneys worth out of your Halloween Costume?" she asked, blandly, without looking up, before licking her thumb and turning another page.

"Definitely got my money's worth. Paid a fortune for it," the baritone Jack O'Lantern remarked, smiling with a wide toothy grin. His eyes gravitated to her book, "Why so serious?"

Walking into the Forge this night came the tall, lanky Troll with quite the exquisite dress sense. Kinda exquisite. More eccentric. Skinny jeans may be normal but these are in quite a vibrant purple hue that matches his loose skinny tie. A red and blue plaid shirt that completely contradicts the pants but just seems to add to the man's dandyness, if that's a word or not. It just works. Finishing off the ensemble was, perhaps, the Greatest Trilby in the Known Universe.

The shiny grin plastered in Tony's face said it all. He knew how good he looked.

Looking at the band as they set up, the Ogre headed over to the bar, recognizing Malory from the BBQ, whereas the Darkling he had spotted at the Fallen Fair, both of which he had attended with some glee. "Good evening!" Tony said by way of a welcome, leaning against the bar next to Sam and ordering a Red Stag, straight. "Miss Grey, a pleasure once again," the Summer smiled, remembering her sunny disposition. To Sam, Tony offered an eager, gaudy-ring laden, hand. "Tony Shine, at your service, sir!"

Smirking at the t-shirt, Marcus slowly shakes his head in mock disagreement.

    "Not just to Lyle..."

Returning the slap on the back, he makes room for his fellow elemental to sit down as he waves at Mal and her two new boyfriends before looking over at the empty stage. Malory Grey Sam Hain Bowtie

    "So, Donatello... Anyone performing tonight?"

The metalflesh hadn't checked the schedule, but was still hoping that a band was playing. That would mean more people in the club and more potential customers for him. Besides, it would probably really annoy Mal, and that was always fun to watch.

"Someone has to be." Mal said bluntly, still not looking up. Either unaware, or untroubled at the faux-pas she had committed. A cryptic claim, but there was no reason to suggest Marcus and Duncan weren't jerking around, as usual.

Surrendering to the inevitability of conversation... since, well... if she wanted peace and quiet to read, she wouldn't be sitting in the fucking Forge, Mal slipped out a bookmark and tucked it between the open pages. She moved as though to place the book to one side, upon the bartop, before recoiling her hand, her mistake realised, and placing it in her lap instead.

She was probably a real Nazi about spine-creasing and dog-eared pages too...

"Mr Shine." Mal responded, arching an eyebrow. She wouldn't stoop so low as to openly judge him for his appearance. Fashion really was something that happened to other people. But there was something rather... offensively lurid about his get-up. Did he dress like that deliberately, or did he lose a bet...?

Duncan grinned before grabbing himself a beer and pouring one for Marcus; Stella, on tap, just like his mate preferred it.

"A local band, Sunrise Armageddon. Mix of thrash metal and punk. They're not bad, actually besides, it's always fun to see Mal with earplugs in."

Duncan looked down at the trio still by the downstairs bar, taking a sip of his own beer. There was a single ice cube floating in the amber drink, which would be pretty weird unless you truly knew the Elemental.

"What do you think of the newbies?"
