Dang. All the suspicion. Was he seriously the only one that could take a leap of faith? Seriously, you'd think it was an Enchanter asking them that.

He tossed a smirk at Avis' Suspicious Look. If she was reading his mind? He was totally cracking funnies about not being the only one that needed a decoder ring. They needed to work on non-verbal...

    Anyway.

    "So, okay. It's Avis' game,"
he started, gesturing to her. Join the party, yo. "Two truths and one lie. So everyone says three things, then everyone else guesses which one is the lie."

His eyes slid upwards as he thought for a moment.

"But let's do, like, one liners. Single sentences. The more outrageous? Totally better. Like, for example, 'I called Del Taco a Monkee to her face'."

    Yes, yes he did.

"And, ummmm, I guess those that want to drink, can? For wrong guesses?"

    Caveat, yo. Because.

Aurum couldn't help but laugh at all the suspicious glances and statements that Star got, including her own. He does come across as a trouble maker so can you blame them? she thought to herself.

"Why the heck not. Sounds like it could be fun,"
    she said with a smile.

She looked to Avis to see if it seemed to be alright with her and then looked to the others to see who else was in.

She knows this game. She played it in college, and yes, there was drinking for wrong answers. Do people just sit around in college and talk? Geez, that's what classes are for.

    "Okay, sooo...

One, I like gently wafting curtains.
    Two, I speak four languages.
And three, I once ended up at a house party with Tyrese Gibson."

That's three. Two truths and a lie. What? Was she supposed to just wait for everyone to agree to play the game? They might be sitting there all night waiting for a some people (Zoey) to agree to it.

    Asp

Asp shrugged good-naturedly once she sat back down and heard that a game was afoot. She grinned at Star when he looked at her. Yeah, she knew this game well, and she wasn't telling any fuckin' stories about dojo sex to this group.

That was for Veiled Threats only.

"Yeah, man, sounds good," she said with a little shrug, trying to figure out simultaneously what lie she would tell and what simultaneously embarassing truths she would tell so she blushed the whole way through. Asp could not lie to save her life. Let the games begin!

    "Gently wafting curtains? Shenanigans, madam."

    Ain't nobody liked those.

Seriously deep analysis of someone she didn't know would get her nowhere. On the other hand, if she was wrong? She'd be one shot more drunk.

Vulgar: Color drains from the immediate area and depth perception becomes temporarily skewed, everything seeming to draw in uncomfortably close, making rooms smaller and all but distant objects seem in reach.
Vice: Color drains from Avis and her facial features seem indistinct and grainy, as though her identity is growing less defined.
Virtue: Colors appear more vibrant and everything seems to become grander in scale.

"Oh. Oh, yeah. Sure, that sounds fun," Avis said, nodding. So that's what the look was for! Damn, she'd totally misread that.

Oh well. Wasn't like it was a life or death situation, just discussing ice breaking games at a bar. Still, she'd have to work on it. Thankfully, this game was also a good way to do that.

Avis studied Nous carefully while she told her three lines, and goddamn, she didn't make it easy. Curtains (really, curtains?), languages, and some random famous dude? Shit. It was hopeless. Still, asp had guessed curtains, so she'd try something else.

"I call BS on the languages. Seems too mundane," Avis declared. "Curtains is mundane, too, but that seems odd enough to be true. It's the little pleasures in life, right?" A slight smile ghosted onto her lips, then dissolved away while she thought about what to say. One liners were a bit different than full story ones. You couldn't trap people in details. They had to be big, crazy statements, unless you wanted to be as lazy as Elle. Seriously.

"Okay, my three. I've done a dime." A pause. "I could pick a lock at nine." Another pause. And yes, she was being thematic. Easier to think them up, that way. "And before I picked the name Avis, I was Jane Doe, even on government records." There, let them chew on that.

The sweet, fragrant smells of roses mixed with lilacs emanate from her as she casts magic. The scent intensifies, bordering on intoxicating, when Life magic is cast. When Aurora casts Vulgar magic, the scent takes a nasty turn, to the putrid, nauseating odor of a rotting corpse. The stronger the magic, the more those around want to retch at the smell.

Sounded like a fun game, so Faye nods her head, “Count me in.” though she wasn’t sure how well she would do at guessing what people were lying about. Especially without a little Luck on her side, but alas, it was a public place, and it would kinda not be fair.

When Ellie stepped forward and offered her truths and a lie, Faye thought it over.

As Aspen offered her opinion on the lie, and then Avis spoke up, she considered each statement again.

“Hmmm.” She replied. “Not too good at these type of games, but here is my guess. The wafting curtains are a lie.”

And then there were Avis’s truths and a lie. She certainly provided some interesting ones.

Looking at Avis, she didn’t strike her as the type to ‘do a dime’. Not knowing anything about her though made the other statements seem like lies. But, that wasn’t the game, there was only one lie.

“I’m going to have to say you are lying about ‘doing a dime’.” She finally decided. If she was wrong, then so be it.

    "Zoey"
    Sheet

If her messenger bag has been mentioned, Zoey is carrying an old leatherbound journal, two bottles of gatorade and a waterbottle, a change of clothing, a second small pistol, a couple of snacks and a variety of miscellaneous objects. Don't question a woman's purse.

Zodiac still had yet to return from the bar, though the martini she'd taken part in assisted even as another was set on the tray with a series of shots as she carried it back to the table, setting it out. She had no idea that they'd decided on a game. She really had no idea about much of anything, aside from the knowledge that alcohol would get her through this.

And so, it was with that that she carefully set out a shot glass in front of each of the people at the table - clearly they weren't all the same, but only some were visually identifiable as something unique. Names... well, they'd have to figure those out themselves. Still, it was a Porn Star that set itself in front of Star, a Peach Tart for Aurum - along with a playful little wink - and a Pinky Winky to Faye followed by a Superman which was set down in front of Ermac. If he had managed to make friends of Pepper, it was relevant.

Then it was on to others... the iconic Brain Hemmorhage was placed before Nous, a Woo Woo for Avis, and because she felt just tacky enough... "An Orgasm, from me to you," she teased Asp as she set the aforenamed shot in front of her cabalmate.

As for herself? Well, something to keep her awake and keep her relaxed. An Espresso Martini was lifted from the tray along with a shot that could have been anything, really, but was in fact a simple shot of patron as Zoey took up a seat herself, not seeming to notice - or even mind - that she'd interrupted their game.

    Ermac

Ermac listened to each tell their truths and lies, trying to decipher fact from fiction. When Zoey-Mandy handed him his Superman shot, "Thank you," he held onto it swirling the drink around. Then downed the shot.

Elle's lines were mundane. The curtains could be some weird habit. Four languages, well within possibility. Ending up at a house party with Tyrese Gibson? That could be an anchor to misdirect others. "I say you never hung out with Tyrese Gibson."

Avis posed a much different challenge. It was a matter of phrasing. A dime, possible. Picking locks by nine years old could easily be a year or two off. Jane Doe before before choosing her name Avis, another possible occurrence. He adopted a new identity, what was to stop others from fabricating multiple identities. "You did not learn to pick locks by the time you were nine. Possibly by eight or ten."

Now it was his turn. Three random and unconnected sentences "I have participated in underground robot wars. I have been struck by lightning. I am absolutely terrified of clowns." He sat back with a coy grin on his face.

    "Awesome!"

He grinned at the participants, sans Zoey, and turned slightly to give Avis a wink for providing part of the evening's entertainment, albeit unwittingly.

"The lies, hmmmm. Calling the languages, like Avis. Not because it's mundane, but, you know, it's totally precise. Like, that would be the easiest to change, just a number. Let's see, Avis."

Puzzle pieces. Urrrrrgh. So. Tempting. He swept them aside, to look at later.

"Like, I don't know if that's dime like doing time, or a dime like a dime bag. But? I'll go with the lock picking. Same reason. It's a number, super easy to change."

He stopped, and arched an eyebrow at Zoey's return. Because water. Still. It was nice. Zoey? On a mission. Asp would need to Do Something, or they'd need to get The Keys.

"Hmmm, and Eric. Who I know nothing about, except that I'm not the only one making Clark Kent jokes,"
he continued, laughing and pointing at the drink. Well. That wasn't true. He knew Eric was blind. Because button. "Hmmm. I'm going to go with the struck by lightning. Just because I have no clue and that seems the least likely?"

His fingers drummed on the table top.

"OK. Mine. I called Del Taco a Monkee to her face,"
he laughed. You knew it was coming. And, sure, people might have overheard, but, funny. The more outrageous, the better, right? "I've sang with Adrian Isaacs. I made it to the finals on World Series of Poker."

Yep. He totally had a couple more outrageous things to say, but, nope. Besides, it wasn't about winning.

Aurum was out of drinks, but sat listening to the others give their phrases for the first round of play because she didn't want to miss out.

Nous and her statements did seem a little tame, but she considered them for a moment. "I don't know who Tyrese Gibson is, but I'll go with the languages thing too."

She turned to Avis and thought what would be most likely. She was a quiet one, those could be the shocking or scary ones. However, Avis seemed the type to dress as she did to not draw attention so she could totally have a shady past. "I really don't know you that well, but I'll say it's the done a dime."

When Zoey came by delivering drinks Aurum received hers gratefully and when she tasted it she chuckled and gave Zoey a return wink. "Thank! I was getting a little dry...I mean the beverage part not, you know."

"Man Eric you're evil those are all hard," the moros said with a smile and a laugh. "I'll say that it is the robot wars, cause that seems the most likely. Everyone fears or hates clowns so that can't be it."

She looked to Star and wasn't sure what to pick. The first one seemed to be the truth from the way he reacted, but she could totally see him doing well at poker. "I don't know maybe the Adrian Isaacs thing?"

"I guess that means it's my turn now?"
Aurum took another sip of her drink and looked around at the others. "One, I flooded a museum on purpose once. Two, I'm Catholic. Three, I help out at a daycare."
