"I'm awesome." He smiled to the Talon. This was Leo's main event, and the confidence was practically oozing off him. "You still got thatarmor up? I need to recast if so."
A shrug signifies it was no big deal.
"Go ahead," she said, motioning for him to throw it up before holding off. He seemed psyched about this, and that got her competitive side going. "After you, boss. Show me how it's done."
She grinned.
Once he's ready, Asp delays.

Still smiling he took his stance, which was odd since it looked to be more the stance of a martial artist then a sword fighter. Still, when the connection to his watchtower was established the pulse of magic made the purpose for the faux stance plain for all to feel. It was the rote mudra for Leo's armor.
Once again assuming a more appropriate stance he slashes horizontally with the sword towards Asp. He was feeling good about this.
Asp takes 1B.
Asp's armor and evasiveness knocked most of the worst off Leo's attack as she parried most of the shot. The young Arrow had a serious look on her face; the attack was mighty. He was not to be taken lightly. Leo knew his way around a big sword.
Keep it covert. He didn't say anything against disrupting the opponent. An Imago of Leo suffering from intoxication and depression formed, and her Will made it so.
The rookie put a bit of Mana into her reply, a powerful, cloaked hex that would throw Leo well off his game. The poor fellow was gonna feel like he was drunk, low on testosterone and depressed all at once. He'd have to work harder than that to take Asp down.
Leo suffers a -4 penalty to social actions and a -3 penalty to all other actions, including combat, for the Scene.
Wits+Occult-4 for observers to notice with Sight.

Leo was....off.
He wavered slightly as the world seemed to fall to shit. Sudden depression and drunkenness with no pulse of magic? Cloaked spell, likely Life, and he knew from the nightmare scenario who had the proficiencies to pull this off. Covert, but the emotional manipulation was way shady to the First Talon.
Despite the debilitation Leo swung his blade better then most, just not enough to hit Asp.
Asp swung back, but the First Talon was more than capable of evading the strike.
It was do-or-die time in the next round...

Instead of lunging forward to attack Leo held back. He placed the full length of the blade between them and readied himself to deflect and dodge any incoming attack.

A fierce focus wrote itself on Asp's face as Leo had done what she had done in many matches - a defensive last move to lock in the win.
With a kiai, Asp shifted on the fly and threw herself into the attack with all her substantial might, landing a solid blow despite his capable guard.
The match over, she dropped the hex that was plaguing him. "Good fight," she said with a nod, curious as to his reaction.

The strike hit just after the depression, and though both were over Leo's buzz really couldn't last the hormonal imbalance.
The swaying stopped, and Leo shook his head. He obviously wasn't happy about something as he came out of it. Still, he looks to Asp and at least tries to force a smile. "Yeah, good luck with the final." For his part it was sincere, but that spell? Total buzz kill.
