Leo kept climbing. He had no choice in the matter at this point, but at least the dogs were gone. No mauling today thank you, he had enough on his plate. Like climbing razor wire, because ice cream was definitely out of the question now. At least once this is over nobody could ever say he didn't do anything for his Talons.

Pushing himself up and over the barb-wire fence the world resolves in a blinding flash of white. The first thing Leo hears, is the gavel slamming against the wooden sounding block. It was so loud, there was very little difference between that and a gunshots.

The court-room was bathed in the late-afternoon sun streaming through the left side of the chamber. The familiar American Flag, fringed in gold sat at its place beside the Judge's chair of tufted black leather, currently empty. The rest of the chamber was clothed in gray stone and medium brown woods, lending it a heavier atmosphere.

At each side of Leo Lockheart were two burly men, in their bailiffs uniform. Journalists stared at the procession, their faces only lenses, turning to focus themselves on the young man all in sync. Glancing down, Leo was in his best suit.

The Judge stands to the right of the chair, putting the gavel down. As he looks down at Leo, Leo sees only himself. “Please be seated,” Leo's Daimon invites.

Leo's confidence and determination had carried him this far, but at the sight of the courtroom it was indeed tested. His heart sunk as he slowly began the procession towards the front of the courtroom. Eyes flit around the room for possible exits, he had avoiding this problem so far, what's a little longer?

Still there was a certain fear that kept him from looking the judge in the eyes. He didn't need to look at the guy to know the voice, it was his after all. So the First Talon occupied himself with looking for a way out while Rock one and Rock two escorted him wherever.

    This was gonna suck.

Leo's Judge almost seemed to know his wilting confidence as a curling smile overtook the corners of his lips. Two exits sat in front of Leo, one on either side of his Daimon and the one other behind him. One of the two exits in front of Leo would certainly lead to prison, the other to his Judge's inner circle, and the one behind him led to the world wrapped up in the lie.

A world Leo left behind a few years ago.

You have been charged with cavorting with the unstable,” Leo's judge intoned, “imprisoning yourself, and taking on too much all at one time.” Leo's own fiery gaze was reflected in his Daimon. The Jury were all faceless but all had the familiar marks of the Traitors from Baltimore. “How do you plead?

Leo's gaze settled on the doors to either side of the judge. If only he knew which one to dash to, cause he doubted there would be a feasible plan B if he chose wrong. Then the judge spoke, with accusations he really wasn't expecting given the appearance of the jury. In truth the accusations were things he took pride in. Helping his Talon to regain his memories, taking on the mantle of First Talon to preserve the Arrow, engaging in politics as Counselor of the Archangels to preserve a group he felt had a truly righteous cause, and that wasn't touching his engagement in the sleeper community.

Yet still, the thought of engaging Wolfmus once more in the Astral was....daunting. He barely survived the first encounter with the Shaman's wild side, and his current predicament was so far from what he expected on the trek here he was at a loss at what to do next. So he answered the judge.

"Guilty." He said to the judge, finally looking himself in the eyes. "What of it?"

It wasn't Leo's plea of 'Guilty' that created the side-long smirk on the Judge or the subtle leaning in of the Jury or the refocusing of the lens-faces of the journalists. It was how unrepentant Leo was that grabbed everyone's attention. Leo Lockheart held the chamber in his grasp with their rapt attention.

Somewhere behind Leo, a woman burst into tears.

The Judge stared back at Leo with that same fiery pride. Of course he did, the Judge was himself. “The sentence is simple then,” the Daimon stated firmly.

Though half tempted to check who the lady was, Leo's gaze doesn't break from the judge as his sentence came down.

“You'll get exactly as you want,” there was a note of warning in the Judge's voice as he hammered the gavel down once then twice. The Judge stood as the bailiffs on either side of Leo Lockheart released him. The Judge gestured for Leo to follow into the Judge's Chamber, the interior, from where Leo could see looked like his Father's room.

Entering the Chamber, however, doesn't lead Leo to his Father's room. In an instant, Leo finds himself elsewhere...
