"Well I was going to ask if you could point me to Priscus Connery, but I think that's about to be obvious." He chuckled softly as he watched for the action. "So what exactly happens now? Are we supposed to hold still and wait for the Sheriffs instructions?" He looks abck and forth between Hildegarde and the where he assumed the staking would take place.

"Oh..." Hildegarde mouthed at a loss. She flicked her eyes to her left and her right, but neither her sire or grandsire proved to be much help.
"I do not know. I find it best to just stay still and watch. The sheriff and some others will remove the disruptive influence post haste. They do things behind closed doors, you see? Then we can talk a little, if you like?"
The Lord's pose altered and she offered the Carthian an innocent smile.

"Oh." The Gangrel said with some disappointment. He looked back at the growing group, wondering if was too late to see at least a quick fight. "Well it seems under control."
With a shrug James looked once more to the Lord."So my name is James Bolton, and I'm a bit new in town." He offers his hand and a smile to the Dragon. "I was wondering if you could point out the Prince for me? I think I can take a stab at who my Priscus is." There was a pause as he thought about asking something he probably shouldn't. "So is court always so interesting? Or is that a one time thing?" He finishes with a quick look to the offending party before smiling once more to Hildegarde.

"I am Hildegarde Bingen," the Lord replied mechanically. "The Prince... Ah! His Majesty is over there... with the Herald Martha and Velma Star and... someone I've met before but never got their name..." Holding pose, Hildegarde moved slightly to survey the room and inclined her head in the Prince's direction.
She turned back to James. "This must be a one off function. Court is normally out of the way, below stairs. The Domain is affirming who the Prisci of the Clans are." She gave a shy, warm, smile. "Normally events are much simpler."

"A pleasure Ms Bingen." He said before glancing over to the Prince for quick second.
"Well I guess I might be under dressed for such a formal occasion." He shrugs, obviously not concerned. "You on the other hand seem to have a rather fine sense for this sort of thing."
He smiled to the woman. It wasn't his subtlest, but flirting hardly ever hurt. It was certainly better then talking shop or staring at the pretty boy Prince all night.

"I was well trained." Hildegarde bobbed her head in recognition. "This Court is more formal. I've seen others that were... less so. It is hard to decide unless one knows where to look before hand. I take it you have not visited the... ah... Nox Populi recently?"
|

"Not recently." The Savage shakes his head. "Last I was here it was the Avalon, and I was being acknowledged by Herald Villiers. Very different feeling this visit."
He glanced around the room, noticing people were starting to drift towards their respective families. He figured it wouldn't hurt to continue so long as the Prince his group were still drifting. "How bout you? Are you a regular on the scene or are you just here for court?"

"I... do not know..." Hildegarde mumbled. With a subtle jerk of her head she surveyed the scene as if suddenly aware of where she was. "Ah. No. I keep to myself mostly - but I do work to ensure that I am known at Court. I attend regularly but stay in the background, yes. Sometimes I venture out for something more entertaining, I suppose." She regarded the Savage calmly. "How do you pass your nights?"

James raised an eyebrow. He couldn't help himself. Apparently Torpor had taken it's effects.
"I prefer the outdoors. Parks, long walks, that sort of thing." He smiled once more to the Dragon. "It's good to get away from the politics and social games for a while now and again."
And his desire to get away had nothing to do with his rampant jealousy filling him with an overpowering urge to eviscerate Prefects, which in turn had nothing to do with the glance towards the Haunts. At least the Savage couldn't smell him from here.

"I used to enjoy walks in the outdoors..." the Lord breathed whistfully.
