Stripes frowns as the monster's fear fills his mind. It doesn't seem to be anything that can help yet...

His eyes go wide, though, as Marcus finally connects with an attack. Seizing the moment, Stripes darts forward again. His muscles tense as he calls upon his lone Contract of Stone to give himself Strength.

"Gotcha this time!" he shouts, jumping forward to grapple the monster.

He can figure out what the fear means for them later, if anything. For now, this thing needs to be stopped in a more direct manner.

You notice something shiny from under a pile of rocks. They might take a while to move if you want to take a closer look

The great horned Ape is once again struck deep by Marcus, then immediately set upon by the tiny annoying tiger. He's not very happy at all that he can't smash the shiny metal man hurting him like last time, and shakes off the Tiger fast as he can.

Intent on using his lethal fists to end this fight once and for all, Marcus attempts to coax Stone to once more lend him its brute strength. Using every once of power at his disposal, the elemental hammers the monster once more, hoping it can't take much more of this kind of punishment.

The Giant hob sways, blood trailing in an arc as he tries to stay conscious. It stumbles forward - Towards Jack and the partially cleared pile of rock - then Stripe's tackles it to the ground with a with a giant Thump! Several rocks on the pile are dislodged, rolling away to reveal a strange gelatin ball with metallic objects floating in it.

Unfortunately, she can't quite tell anything else about what's in the gob of gelatin, since it's brownish hue obscures the details, and her fingers can't get through the odd thicker layer holding it all together. It's almost like those squishy balls that can be found in tourist and toy shops.

Tally's kick proves that the Goatrilla really is down for the count.

Stripes rolls off the monster, wiping some specks of blood from his clothes. This has the unfortunate effect of only smearing them.

"Everybody okay?" he asks, looking around. "Where'd Al and Jack go?"

The tiger looks around worried. The hob's fear is sticking in his mind now, and with the fight done a worry of his own is starting to work in.

"Need to stick together," Stripes says, not even noticing he'd missed a pronoun while speaking. "This hob was scared of being unwanted... it might have friends nearby."
