Club Ember - located on the corner of Broadway and 19th str., this establishment is one of the better strip-clubs of Sacramento. Owned by the Prince, it also serves as one of the Domain's Elysian Fields, allowing Kindred to go about their business without fear of being interrupted or assaulted.

From outside, nothing indicates that the club has recently been robbed: a rather modest neon light shines above the entrance located on the street corner and two burly serious bouncers stand at the door, one of them listening with a stone face to a lanky man in jeans and a dirty jacket who apparently wants to get in.

Other than that, there is little movement: once in a while a client walks in or leaves the dark building, but at this hour most regulars are already inside, warmed by alcohol and entertained by the sort of expert dancers that can't be found at cheaper places. When the doors open, faint music can be heard and there is quite some variety in it. For a strip-club.

Korvin had waited before leaving the mission brief, allowing any who wanted a ride to do so. The inside of the truck could fit two comfortably, and three if people were okay with being a little close. However anyone was welcome to lay down in the back and pull the tarp over them if needed. He wouldn't budge on this, given that secrecy is needed, and a truck with many people chilling in the back rolling up to a club is exactly the kind of thing people look at.

As he pulled up to the club he did a quick look at it's outside, then parked a little ways down the block, not to far but enough out of sight so as no one would notice anyone climbing out of the back of his vehicle. As he got out and went around to open the door on the other side out of sheer habit from decades of servitude as a ghoul in the order he activated his Auspex, trying to listen in to the conversation going on with a not terrifically well dressed man at the door.

Roderick was quiet for most of the ride, contemplating the details of what had happened and trying to understand what it all meant. Although Redfill attempted to alleviate him of his worries, he was still left with a nagging feeling that manifested with his right hand tightly gripping his opposite arm. This still stinks of information gathering. Bold and with purpose. You don't gather a bunch of names on a whim.

His thoughts were interrupted when the truck pulled to a stop near the club. As soon as the tires stopped moving, he had the door open and was stepping out, perceiving himself as the superior officer at the moment and following protocol. He walked to the front of the truck and looked towards the club before holding a hand up in the air and with two fingers extended rotated his hand around, silently calling the group to gather around him.

[Joseph Hartman]

Joseph slides the box containing an illegal weapon under the seat. He frowns at the measure, unhappy with a fumble so early back in town. Stepping out of the truck he nods to Korvin in thanks and takes a look around. A hand smooths out his suit and Joseph smiles knowing his attire won't be completely out of place.

The aggressive looking thin blood raises a hand and gets Joseph's attention. Walking over to the kindred Joseph continues to look around.

"I hope that there is no one hostile inside. This could get ugly and we will be required to adhere to policy." He shrugs after speaking his mind, the sort of shrug that says "o well shit happens".

You can see that the man trying to get in is quite drunk and the guard is simply ignoring him.

The club still stands there and nothing in particular is happening.

Roderick watched the club for a moment before replying to Joseph's concerns, "I am not sure if I am making a fair comparison, but when I was in the service, we often faced almost random attacks. But we knew that after an attack, we would have a bit of peace and quiet. For some reason they liked to watch after an IED went off. Watch how we rolled out in response. We couldn't shoot them without orders or 'good reason', but you could see them.. Smirking like they just went toe to toe with the Champ and got a punch in."

The old soldier would need a moment before he pulled out of his mind and actually addressed the question, "In short. Don't expect a strike, keep an eye out for someone of their group coming to watch, be ready for anything anyway." He stepped away from the truck and nodded to the club. "Before all that though, we need to see about speaking with Eve and getting all the official information. The next step will follow."

"If there are no objections..." He turns and starts walking, giving ample time for someone to object before he leads the way to the club.

The only objection Korvin had aside from Roderick nominating himself the leader, was that they weren't already in the club enjoying the ladies there in. The things I do for my city... he thought with a chuckle. Making sure his hair was in place he was at heart an information gatherer. Nothing pleased Korvin more than learning new things, especially things that most people couldn't learn. He heard the drunk arguing about wanting in, and the doorman being rather pointed about not letting the man inside. He listened carefully and watched their body language, every opportunity was a chance to be reminded of mortal interactions. Korv was especially keen on seeing if there was any deception going on and watched both their body language and listened to their voices, even going so far as using his auspex to see if he could follow the rhythm of their heart beats in order to judge levels of drunkenness and agitation. The Dragon had been particularly interested in studying the ideals behind the Coil of the Soul and there was no better place to study than the Kine in their natural environment. Above all though, he looked for signs of subterfuge, a drunk trying to get into a bar might make a good distraction, or simply a means of blending in once one was inside. No one suspects the drunk who argued for half an hour to be let in of anything other than wanting to watch the dancers dance and continue his drunken revelry.

Joseph nods as Roderick gives his thoughts on the matter. Not a bad way to look at it. His memories of Ember are limited but a place of staring it most definitely is. It should be easy enough to see if anyone is staring at the group, anyone who doesn't have their eyes on the show should be an employee or a possible threat.

Or maybe I've spent too much time on the road. Joseph shakes his head and follows Roderick.

Roderick can see no signs of lying: the drunk genuienly tries to get into the club and the bouncer doesn't want him there.

As the group starts to approach the club the man pestering the bouncer seems to finally understand that he's not going to see bodies swaying and boobs shaking in front of him tonight. At least, not at Club Ember where they don't let drunkards in. Especially those who have no idea what fashion is.

Speaking of fashion. The already-upset bouncer looks the party over with a bored look, before sneering a clearly rehearsed phrase:

"Club Ember is a gentlemen's establishment. And he", - the guard points at Roderick, - "isn't dressed like one. Beat it, grandpa".

He doesn't move an inch glaring at Joseph and Roderick.

The Kindred would probably have a problem if all the bouncers had only muscle in their brain.

"Hey, Jack, they look like the ones the boss is expecting. I'll call her", - the guard opens the door and yells something inside before turning back to the group and adderssing Korvin, - "Wait here for a minute. Can't let you all in dressed like this without a say-so".

About 30 seconds pass and a woman walks outside. She's a bit above mid-height and is wearing a black dress, that is cut in such a way as to reveal her long muscular legs and perfect complexion without being too slutty. The most gripping thing about her though is how her face looks: raven-black hair, white skin without any imperfections, dark eyes and red lips the colour of which looks mostly natural. Truly if Snow White exists in real world, it is her.

"Oh, for fuck's sake! Didn't Mike tell you to dress? Of all the stupid, idiotic..." - she stands akimbo, looking at Roderick with a dark expression that actually makes her seem even more attractive, - "Did he at least mention the 'no guns' policy? You didn't bring guns, did you?"

The bouncers look impassive as if their boss isn't asking three shabby-dressed men if they have brought weapons to an elite strip-club.
