Moon is Half. Elodoth have +1 essence for the scene, and may shapeshift reflexively

William has been having a particularly shitty day. It started simply enough. Go to orientation with the other students, make friends, make enemies. Except that there isn't anyone like him. People react with confusion when he mentions Ithaca. A cautiously ventured "in Greece"? seemed to set everyone to laughter. But it was at him, as they all seemed to see something in him that cried out "caution!". He found himself sandwhiched between a 40 year old man who was there for his 6th degree, and a 14 year old kid who couldn't be pried away from his gameboy with a crowbar. And of course, he shortly thereafter got separated from the group, and now is wandering around the man-made lake, trying to find his group.

Hannah has been having a very shitty month. From the time the moon was pregnant, her sleep has been assaulted with strange and vivid dreams. THhe dreams have been progressive, sometimes repetitive, but always she sees something more. She is hovering over Jupiter, looking down as two angry storms swirl around each other; over them sit three of Jupiter's moons, each silent and judgiging the storms below them. She is then touched by one of the moons, and is flung down into one of the storms. There wolves howl, and tornadoes crash down. Teeth flash, and thunder echoes. And always she awakens, and finds herself pulled in the direction of the storm, driving her west. She finds herself on a the edge of a manmade lake in the midafternoon.

Kaila has been having a excruciatingly shitty season. The lack of rain and winter hibernation of so many animals has made hunting almost untenable. She has mastered the art of fishing as a wolf, but the small smelt and sunfish can only keep the hunger managable, never filling. Still, another cold day, another day by the lake, always careful to stay in the shadows of the trees.

Eddie has been having a just plain shitty year. The weight of his nature has continued to press on him even harder it seems. By night, he is a peaceful monster, but by day he is a discordant man. What is the truth of his existence? He finds the problem to be like a loose tooth, bothering him day and night.

The four of them see a woman in startling red necktie lifting a young man by the throat, his feet and arms struggling to remove her hand, which seems to be made of iron.

No one else seems to be paying much attention, the lake is practically deserted.
All of them can smell something about her, something strong and powerful, something that demands attention.

Surprisingly enough Eddie hadn't even realized that there were others in the vicinity of the lake, something that was particularly unusual for him. The wilderness had been his home for so long that he had given up on counting the days. During the day he lived as a nomad, migrating from place to place in search of some sort of calm to the raging battle between his desire to live a clean and normal life, and his continually growing realization that such a thing would never be possible for him. Had it been night fall, Eddie wouldn't have been standing here as he was. Even now he could feel the pull of her, whispering a song of victory and triumph. His head pounded with the sound of tribal drums banging in rhythm. He knew that when the day gave way to night that he would be unable to fight the urge.

As his gaze turned down to the lake where his eyes met his own reflection briefly, Eddie finally noticed her. A woman choking the life out of a man with such ease that at first Eddie thought that he was hallucinating again. "What da fuu--?" he whispered to himself as his eye brows turned inward into a frown. Just as his eyes gave hints to the severity of what was going on, his noise quickly followed suit. Her scent was strangely familer. It wasn't something that he had smelled before, but rather a type of scent that he was used to when hunting himself. As he took a single step closer he knew that she wreaked of the predictors scent. This wasn't just some chick in a fancy tie, she was something else and some how, Eddie felt that finding out what could lead him to where he was meant to be.

"H..Hey! Aye lady what the fuck you doin!?" He yelled, still not prepared to approach her.

William sighed heavily as he brought a gloved hand in a vain attempt to rub the weariness from his face as he strolled along the side of a lake. It had been a good while since he had seen anybody from his group and he wasn't sure how far he had walked since he had gotten separated from them. Hell, he didn't even know which way he had walked from the at that. With another heavy sigh, he dropped to his haunches and leaned slightly so his face hung just above the still water's surface. "Well ain't this just fine fuckin' way to spend my day." He mumbled to himself as he tore at the scarf that was wrapped around his neck until it hung limply around his shoulders. Leaning his head into his hands and his elbows onto his knees, he stayed in that position for several minutes as he tried to retrace his steps in his mind.

Still unable to decide on what to do next, he stood gingerly and stretched his legs out to get the numbness that had settled from being still for to long out of his muscles. Turning to pace along the lake, a wind struck him and carried his scarf from his shoulders and into the air. With a yelp of surprise, he reached out and leaped after it until it was carried to far way and eventually settled into the lake's cold waters. "YOU KNOW WHAT?" He began, before impatiently waving his hand in submission, "Fuck it, I don't care, I'll buy a new one later." William muttered before continuing to pace on and abruptly stopping as a chill pressed against his body. It wasn't a chill of cold but something he couldn't put his finger on.

Turning his eyes to scan the area, William froze as he caught sight of a woman strangling someone. Mouth ajar as though caught between yelling and gasping, William took a step back and looked around frantically to see if anyone else had noticed but the few people that was at the lake just kept on walking on like nothing was happening. Everyone but one man. "What..." A very large, black man had arrived to question the woman.

Not exactly wanting to get involved with the woman, William got as close as he dared to and continued to watch the situation unfurl, his eyes quickly drawn to the fact that her hands seemed to be made of... "What in the world... Is that i-iron?" William whispered to himself incredulously. What was with this woman? Frowning deeply, he crouched down and tried to piece together what was happening.

The cool chill of winter bit at her paws as the tips of her claws dug into the soft earth. This winter had been particularly rough, the constant pain of hunger nearly forgotten to the cold. She smelled it before she it, the pungent scent of fear and panic. Silently she wove through the trees, hoping that perhaps the scraps of another hunt would be hers this night. Of course what greeted her vision was unexpected. A Human (or what appeared to be one), held fast by the very literal iron grip of a woman. Falling into the shadows of the brush she observed. It was rare that humans came out this way this time of year, but there was something very not human about the scene before her. She stood transfixed, amber eyes watching the woman, taking in every detail. Everything from her posture to the way she held the man forced her gaze.

But she could not allow herself to become completely absorbed with the scene before her. Lifting her snout she scented the air, if there were two, it was a very real possibility that there were more. Soon the scents and sounds of at least two others invaded her senses. This was... unusual. Like her, there was something off about their scent, something decidedly wild. Opting instead to sit back she silently observed the scene before her, not wanting to involve herself quite yet.

I need a wits+stealth roll from kaila (should she choose), and wits+composure rolls from everyone else. If you exceed her successes by one, you note a shadowy animal in the brush. If by 2, you see a wolf.

So focused on the iron handed woman, William is practically oblivious to the wolf hiding in the shadows.

How long had she been traveling? Hannah contemplated this question as she strolled towards a lake of questionable size. Once at the edge, she stopped abruptly and stood upright. The young woman seemed to be looking towards the lake but in reality, she was far away from this world. She could not seem to concentrate on anything but the vivid, repetitive dreams that she had been having over the past month or so. While Hannah was not aware whether this dream had any special connection to her recent change, she was certainly aware that something was approaching. She could only hope that what or who awaited her in the future was allies, rather than enemies.

Hannah shook her head back and forth trying to redirect her thoughts elsewhere. The young woman bent over her body over running her hand across the water’s surface. She admired as a trail of ripples followed spanning out in all directions. “This place is very beautiful,” the woman stated looking down towards her sketchbook which she kept by her side at all times. The reasoning behind this was obviously the realistically terrifying dreams which kept her always on edge, using her artistic ability seemed to be a proper outlet for the anxiety which threatened to consume her. If you took the time to glance through her sketchbook, you would see the same picture on every page for at least thirty pages; however had you looked in detail, you would notice the minuscule changes on every page which symbolized the progressive manner that her dreams had taken on.

Deciding to find a better view of the area, Hannah began to walk around using the water’s edge to guide her way. After having walked for the better amount of eight minutes or so, the young woman quietly stopped realizing a confrontation which was going on right before her very eyes. Her eyes widened in alarm at the sight of a petite, ravenous haired woman raising a young man into the air by his throat single-handedly. Despite the overwhelming desire to want to understand what was happening right before her very eyes, Hannah decided not to get too involved. While never experiencing anything herself, she had heard the stories of what had happened in the underground to those who stuck their noses where they did not belong.

Even so, the young woman could not look away from the female stranger whose iron grip was slowly crushing the life from the man who looked to be struggling against his fate until the bitter end. In the moment when Hannah was about to look away, she noticed from the corner of her eye another man approach the scene boldly shouting to the woman. “Is that… Eddie?” Hannah muttered with a hint of amusement in her voice. ‘What is he doing in a place like this? Did he run after I got caught?' A plethora of questions presented themselves at the sudden appearance of her old business partner.

After this interesting situation presented itself, Hannah walked towards the small cluster of people whom had appeared. “Let’s handle this situation in an adult like manner, shall we?” the young woman smiled mischievously.

The woman looks over at the three humans who have interrupted her, and then her nostrils flare. Her posture seems to relax.
<<Good. ..... ..... Not Kill this fucker ..... ..... doesn't belong here.>> She says to them, in a language none of them have heard before, full of barks and growls. And yet, they understand quite a bit of it.
    <<Now .... .... ... ... come quiety ..... ..... I must .... ..... ..... ... ..... hard way?>> She growls at the man.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" The man hoarsley cries out, desperately trying to dislodge the arm. He looks at the humans, "Help me! She's crazy!"
