A sign in spidery copperplate handwriting hangs on the front door of Edna's Boarding House. To mortal eyes, it asks all members of the Society for the Ethical Treatment of Miley Cyrus to proceed around to the back of the house in order to pay their annual dues and listen to a recitation of the minutes from last month's meeting. To those touched by the Wyrd, the sign informs them that the Fallen Fair of the Autumn Court is being held in the backyard. Once they make their way around to the back, Fair-goers are greeted by the odd sight of a great big purple tent so large that it takes up the entire backyard. The door flaps are held open by braided ropes with gaudy yellow tassels and just within, a pretty young woman can be seen sitting at a small table. She wears a green Hello My Name Is sticker on her fashionable sweater with Emma written in the blank space. At least, the sweater looks like it might be fashionable... it's rather hard to tell with all the dark stains covering it from the oil that continually drips from her slick, shiny hair. Regardless, the oily blightbent stops texting and looks up at each changeling as they arrive, smiling as she yanks her earbuds out. After sizing them up, she offers one of the same stickers to each freehold member, along with a Sharpie. If the elemental doesn't sense the shared bond of the freehold oath, she will instead hand them a red name tag sticker and point to the center of the tent, where they will plainly see the Witch Queen, Betony Rue Jasons. Once they fill in the blank on the sticker, Emma welcomes them by name and introduces herself as she hands them a numbered ticket. After pointing out the emergency exits and port-a-potties, she invites attendees to browse the different tables of merchandise.
"Make sure you hold onto your ticket!"
Inside the tent, newcomers will immediately see Betony Rue glowering at anyone loitering around the entrance from behind a long table in the center. The right half of the table has baskets of strange fruits, berries and leaves on display, while the left half showcases an assortment of knitted clothing. There is also a clipboard resting in the middle, which appears to hold some sort of sign up sheet. There are a few more tables currently standing empty along the sides of the tent, and some mismatched outdoor furniture has been arranged here and there to give attendees a few places to sit down and congregate. All the way at the back of the tent, Mrs. Rosemary has set up a stall selling Autumn-themed food and drinks conveniently close to the port-a-potties. Behind the friendly ogress is a large banner advertising her restaurant, Rose Garden, where, she reminds them, they can find delicious seasonal food any time of the year. Welcome to the Fallen Fair. Don't be afraid to have a look around.
