As Al-Adin just walks blindly further into the Hedge and the others take their moment to either decide to follow the monkey or just stand around looking a bit confused in the entire thing.

Al-Adin in his own right seems to be not just blundering into the hedge but actually moving at a speed that leaves the others in his dust.

It takes a bit but eventually you realize no one is following you directly, there does seem to be a bit more darkness to the hedge itself, the thorn vines are still blatantly obvious, almost like the hedge had grown an entirely new species and it had gotten big. You may Roll Initiative with your next narrative post.

As you look back behind you you notice that the hedge gate has closed and on the other side of the now obviously small clearing you see what could be a thick wall of thorny vines.

As you pull the thorn from the hedge you feel something odd. Out of the corner of your eye you can see what looks like metal rivets and lines along the branches of the hedge but even you can gain nothing from a pledge that had nothing to give you.

Al-Adin stops at the big, dark, scary hedge.
"Hello. Anyone there? I'm looking for something that was lost?" He calls out quietly (for Al-Adin), ready to help, or run. Because while he can be friends with anyone, this is still the hedge.

Al-Adin will have a dodge action prepped and will use if attacked.

Stripes tenses as he thinks he hears Al's voice. His eyes search the hedge ahead for the monkey man, praying he hasn't lost sight of the Spring Courtier.

Tally turns around as Stripes calls out Al's name. She walks to where she last saw Al, stopping about a foot from stepping out of the glade. Her eyes are narrow and a worried look is upon her face as she looks around, her heart beat increasing.

Cupping her hands beside her mouth, she shouts, "AL?! CAN YOU HEAR US? CAN YOU SEE US?" Pretty much assuming that if he could, he'd reply to those questions.

Jack's quiet words penetrate Marcus' concentration even more than Tally's shout. Looking over at where everyone else's attention was now gathering, the metalflesh rolls his eyes and curses under his breath as he heads over to where the impetuous runnerswift had been.

"Fucking hell..."

When he nears the edge of the clearing, the elemental attempts to clear his current tangle of thoughts and instead focus on something more intimate to him than crude flesh and bone. Marcus uses his intimate connection with Metal to open his perceptions and connect with any presence of his familiar element in the general vicinity. Hopefully, the Penny Thief of the freehold still lives up to his name.

Marcus has the wonderful feeling of wind as the only metal in the hedge, or at least the only really close metal in the hedge WINGS past him in the form of a monkey scrambling to be free of it all. In less than two seconds the monkey is once again gone from view, and the hedge gate snaps closed. Before them a large figure looms, horns and a jagged face.
