(Hisil) Pretender of the Throne

Jessie's body shuddered clearly when he processed what he was told. He couldn't help but try to imagine the aftermath of the Atomic bombs on the two Japanese cities but occurring in the Hisil around him now. What it must have been like before? Still full of the bright and tall trees that loomed over the area long ago, the markings of the Native Americans that worshiped the Spirits. Younger markings would have included the Gold Rush and new settlers, people seeking a new life. Then the modern city causing the slow evolution of the Hisil. He couldn't help but believe it would have been a fascinating sight.

To have all that just eradicated. Washed away in a moment.

Spirits grasping for essence like they were underwater, gasping for air. Walking like the dead until they vanished from existence. Jessie could feel his stomach turn harshly at the imagery and he had to bite his lip to keep it from coming up. When he was able to calm himself, he looked up at Jeremiah and says, "The Pure... You see why they effect me so? Only a true monster and madman would claim to be for Father Wolf.. yet destroy what He wanted to protect." After a long moment, he added in a whisper, "We can drive them out.. right?"

Jeremiah's first reply is an almost feral grin, full of teeth. "Driving them out is the first step. The next is making sure they stay the out of our city."

He looks from Jessie to the area around them. "They were the boogeymen of sorts for years. Always right beyond the river. Then they hit." The Ghost shakes his head. "We should have been wary, all the packs. Should have been more focused." Jeremiah goes silent for a moment.

"But now it's our turn. As Urdaga and as a pack."

Kevin growls his approval at that course of action. His tail raises up as it continues to wag behind him as he feels the mood of the group become exicted.

As the group continue on their vicious rampage through the hisil, they come across a strange sight. A dozen or so fist sized holes in the grassy earth. Or what substiutes for grassy earth here.

"Preach it, Jer," Steel encourages, slamming his fists together in an awkward applause.

As they move along, though, the strange holes appear.

"Huh," he grunts, looking about at the ground. "What're the odds this counts as normal?"

His fists are raised, the rahu on high alert. He takes a deep breath, trying to observe their surroundings for incoming threats...

  I actually didn't fuck this up for once?

Kevin's ears flicker around as he breaths deeply, trying to pick up a scent. He slowly walks up to one of the holes, his nose twitching as his head moves forward. He comes to a stop and lowers his head down to the edge, his tail wagging slowly behind him.

As he raises his head, he sneezes a bit, causing his head to shake.

Jeremiah grunts in response to Steel Gaze's question. The Crescent steps closer to one of the holes and takes a look at it.

"I'm not sure anything is normal around Sacramento anymore." Jeremiah glances at Jessie. "Thoughts?" The Ghost turns his attention back to the holes.

"Interesting.. V-Very interesting." The Bone Shadow quickly moves out of the formation as soon as he caught sight of the holes, moving to the nearest one to kneel down next to it. Using his own fist, he measures out the dimension of the hole, then looks at the edge of the hole to try and discover the source. "I don't t-t-think we are looking at s-s-something from Sssacramento. We would see a b-b-b-bleeding together of the old and the n-n-new form for the Hisil. This must be s-s-s-Spirit made. Very interesting." Finished with one hole, he moves to another, then another, all the while talking as he tries to piece things together. "F-First I must understand.. how? A mouth? A f-f-f-fist? Punching a hole in t-t-the earth? Was it a t-t-t-territory fight or one for food? So many questions..."

The latest hole, he laid down on the ground and looked at the hole at a low angle, whispering to it, "Speak to me, little hole. S-Share your secrets."

Jessie's human face is suddenly engulfed by a creature leaping out of the hole and grabbing onto him, its small form vigorously shaking the uratha.

<<What by Helio's dick is wrong with you?>> The spirit creature cries out in a loud voice, before letting go and anchoring itself back in the hole. It reveals itself to be a gopher spirit, though with an odd white fur coat that seems almost plastic.
<<Do you regularly go into people's homes and start whispering? Skolis' breath are you lucky I'm not a shrike. Who whispers like that? Creepy fucks, that's who.>>
It then notices the several other werewolves.
<<Aaaaaand i've stepped in it now haven't I. Ummm, Hi. Nice to meet you all.>>

When Jessie's vision was suddenly obscured by a field of white, he reacted like any rational creature would. By falling backwards and flailing his arms around until he is finally released. Gasping for air, he tries to understand what was going on, especially with trying to understand the First Tongue that was being spoken. When his senses returned, he exclaimed, "Of course! W-W-What other Spirit would do this except a G-G-Gopher based one." It was then that the situation completely dawned on him and he shot up, turning to his companions, he desperately motioned his hands for them to step back. "Back up! B-B-Back up, we are s-s-s-standing on his h-h-home!"


When Jessie was sure he wasn't standing where he believed he shouldn't, he turned to address the Gopher, kneeling down not so much out of respect but so that the Spirit wouldn't have to look up at him the entire time. Clearing his throat, he speaks as best as he could in his limited knowledge of the tongue, <<Forgive us f-f-for.. Walking on... S-S-S-Spirit Home.>> Looking away, he hoped another would step forward with a better grasp on the language.
