Four wolves prowl through the hisil. They move disparately, awkwardly. They are not a unit that has trained together, fought together, bled together. They have no uniting goal, no uniting name, nothing that can bind them into a pack.
And so they hunt for a totem, to give them direction, give them purpose, and to bring fear to their enemies.
The Wolf Must Hunt.

Jeremiah's wolfen head swings back and forth as he takes in the Hisil around him. It seems like so long ago that he was able to sit and watch the Hisil regrow from the desolation left by the Pure. Apparently they had decided that obliterating the Hisil wasn't enough...
Wonder doesn't fill the Ghost Wolf's eyes but wariness. He doesn't see it any other way but that the Hisil knows that the Forsaken are weak now. Any spirit could try to prove itself or tattle to the Pure... The Crescent takes a moment to glance around at the others as they move. RockBane Anubite25 Moonfang

Steel Gaze is walking alongside Jeremiah, standing tall in the near-man form. Thick, black hair sprouts up and down his body, his nostrils flaring as he tenses his fists.
"Hell of a night for a hunt," he off-handedly comments, cracking his knuckles.
The totem. A chance to really be a pack. And it comes down to him, Jeremiah, Kevin and the new guy to finally pull it together.
Steel glances back at the newest member of their unofficial pack, trying to hide a scowl. He doesn't know much about him, but the kid was a stammering mess at the last big meeting. He can only hope letting him on won't hurt them...

Kevin's left ear flickers towards Steel Gaze while his right one points forward. He's walking to Steel's right, also in Urhan. His nose is pointed before him for a while before he lowers his head, sniffing close to the ground as he slowly walks. Mostly just getting an idea of what Spirits have been wandering in this area before them. Not really focusing on a single scent.
He picks his muzzle up after a few seconds. He glances right to left, his tail hanging limply behind him. <<Yip.>> He growls softly in reply to Steel's comment.

Moon is Gibbous
Jessie was spending most of his time astounded by the Hisil of Sacramento. Although he was momentarily distraught with having to leave his research, a chance to see a new area of the Hisil was a chance he couldn't bare to pass up. He came dressed only in his lower garments. His shoes and shirt foregone during their trip 'sideways' and into the realm of the Spirits.
His amusement of seeing the spirit world was quickly overcast with worry was he looked at more of it. Something felt off. He couldn't see it exactly, smell it or hear it. But it was in his very bones that the Hisil was not as it should be. He slowed his pace to take more time to look at the environment around them.

It slowly dawned on him what felt wrong. He shook his head, slowly whispering "Wrong.. wrong.. This is wrong.."
He turned on his heel and quickly ran to catch up with the other three, grabbing the arm of the first one he could reach. "W-W-Why is this such?" He voice was without fear but instead was confused as he waved his arm outward at the area around them. "It's t-t-too young. W-W-Without the markings of the p-p-past. Just m-m-modern marks." He turned back to the wolf who's arm he held and asked, pleading to know, "What.. happened?"

Jessie's examination of the hisil reveals a strain in the area, he's isn't sure how big it is, but it was very large. It also was a few years ago, between 2 and 20 years. He can tell that there was a period where there was less spiritual weight in the area, and now there is more.

Jeremiah's head swings to look up at the pup. The Crescent flexes his front legs and pushes himself up but doesn't become Near-Man. Jeremiah takes a moment to look down at his paws, disappointed. After a moment he steps into Near-Man.
"Well that was odd. But yes the Hisil here is new." He pauses for a moment, then air quotes. "New."
His hands fall and he takes a quick look around before focusing back on Jessie. The guys have things covered. "The Pure, well, they basically nuked the Hisil in Sacramento. When I Changed here it was empty. It took years but the Alpha packs at the time were able to complete a ritual to restore the city's Hisil."
"There were a few spirits here and there but otherwise it was wrong. At least as I've come to see it. I didn't know better at first but watching it bloom. It was beautiful, as beautiful as something deadly can be."

Kevin comes to a stop and turns fully to observe the pair, listening to Jeremiah's answer. It takes him some seconds to realize just what Jer had said concerning the Hisil and looks around with a bit more interest. His tail slowly sweeping behind him.
<<Spirits like Pure still?>> He snorts with a shake of his head at this stupidity of the local Spirits. <<Fools.>> He growls in disgust.

<<No argument here, Kev,>> Steel agrees.
He cracks his knuckles before reaching into his pockets. He quickly withdraws a couple rolls of nickels, wrapping his fingers around them and taking his usual practice jabs.
<<All the more reason to be prepared, right?>> he points out with a fanged smile. <<Though maybe if we're lucky some spirits around here will be willing to listen to us.>>
