Jessie was walking around town during the late evening, trying to get a feel for his city, when shit went from vaguely informative to pantshitting terrifying in 30 seconds flat.
He sees three gruff looking men walking down the other side of the street, and while everyone (including, wisely, him) avoids them, they seem to be happy to ignore everyone around them as they move swiftly about.
And just before they are about to turn the corner they all stop, and turn to look down the street. After a few seconds, they zero in on you. And then they start running after you, hard. And when Jessie ducked down an alley, it turns into two wolves chasing after you in Urshul form.
Jessie mentally kicked himself when he realized what he did. Wolf instinct drove him to move into a place out of the open to try and escape, but if he had stayed where there could have been people, he could have used the chaos to his advantage. Then again, if these three were that eager to jump straight into their Urshul forms, they weren't up for a chat. It might have lead to more than a little collateral damage. It didn't matter now, he was in a Foot Chase and he wasn't about to lose.
First, he needs to get a clear assessment of the situation. Focus, Jessie. Get into the flow first. Urshul means they are most likely now fast enough to catch me. But do I risk a hard race in a city I am still unfamiliar with, or take advantage of the surroundings?
Jessie takes a quick look around at his surroundings, checking if there is anything he could use this his advantage. A fire escape in jumping distance so he can get to the rooftops, a wall he could scale to put an obstacle between him and the pursuers. But he knew didn't have much time to try and find something and if he didn't find it fast, he could have no choice but to shift into Urshul and put some hard distance between the two of them.
And this shirt was just starting to get comfortable.
Nothing in sight and no time to waste looking, time for a foot race. Even with the unfamiliarity factor, Jessie couldn't help but smile. That's just fine with me. Let me show these city wolves why I was considered the fastest Pup in the forest.
He pushes himself forward into the run, his toes pushing off the ground with each hard step as he reaches into himself and calls the wolf out. "C-C-Catch me if y-y-you can," Jessie forces out before pushing himself forward, starting his shift into an Urshul.
Progress: Round 1:
Jessie 3 Successes (head start, uses action to shapeshift)
Jessie concentrates as he runs, and his clothes shift with him, transforming into the fur of Urshul as he leaps forward. But by the time he comes to the ground, he hears a sharp yip of pain, and realizes it is his own as one of them runs with unnatural speed, and crashes into you, his claws biting into your flesh.

Fuck! Ricky would have my tail for getting caught this easily! Jessie digs his front claws into the ground and pulls himself out of reach of the claws, at that same instant he dips into his essence and heals the damage before his now uninjured leg hits the ground. Now, lets do this right. Digging all of his claws into the ground, he launches himself forward into a full run, kicking up debris behind him as he drives himself forward and out of range.
Jessie decides that survival is the better part of valor, and flees from the combat. The other two wolves give chase.

Jessie pushes himself hard, and his claws click on the hard cement as he flees, but he sees the next attack coming and braces as another rent in his fur opens up, and more of his blood spatters his opponent's claw
Great, they are taking turns tearing at me. And with good reason, they are both fast enough to keep up with me. But I can't win by fighting here, have to try again! Jessie puts everything he has into his second attempt at running.
Jessie couldn't remember the last time he was so scared. Him running is just a waste of time unless he finds a real solution to this. They had his scent, his blood, in this noses. He was alone and it was likely that they had friends out in the shadows. He had to get back onto the road and find obstacles to use to his advantage instead of being in this empty alley.
Jessie turns west and books it, to burst out of the alley, but is crashed into in the street by the same wolf that has been dogging his steps. The two roll together before bouncing apart. And then the second Pure comes up behind as well, preventing any further escape into the alleyway.
And then things get worse.
The scene: At the sidewalk in front of an alley that opens onto a not completely deserted street stands a werewolf in urshul. He is bleeding from two wounds In melee range are two other wolves, one of which has plenty of blood on its claws. Jeremiah's heroic charge places him at the mouth of the alley. Lilly will have to sprint for one turn before she can join in. Daniel will have to sprint for one turn before he can join in. And to make matters worse, a man and his small daughter are watching whats happening with looks of shock and horror on their faces, they have to-go bags that have fallen to the ground, spilling hot Vietnamese food all over the ground.

One fighting two. One hurt. Blazes through Jeremiahs mind as he runs up. The humans nearby only complicate this even more. Planting his rear foot Jeremiah grows into Dalu, Luna's gaze giving him free reign of form. With no time to question himself he throws a punch at the bloodied clawed wolf.

They don't look particularly stone-willed, so, hopefully, Lunacy will take care of them for the Forsaken this time. And if they don't run, there is always the option to deal with them later.
Of course, I find an exit and lo and behold they got a friend. Jessie comes to a stop and tries his best to brace himself for the punch he thinks is coming towards him. It wasn't until he heard the impact on one of his pursuers that he looked to see that rather than finishing him off, he was actually helping! This was cut short when a set of Pure teeth sunk into his flesh. But Jessie wasn't scared anymore. He had at least one friend now.
Jessie flicks his eyes around and sees two more coming towards him, he pulls himself away from the attacking Urshul as he shifts into his Hishu form, now shirtless but still having his backpack. He starts running towards the other two while shouting, "I h-h-highly recommend w-w-w-we run now!" Lilly Ganz
The father and daughter continue to watch the Lunacy inducing monsters bite and beat on each other with porcelin white faces. Daniel's urgent admonishment to leave, despite his fearsome visage holds not a candle to the small Sun that is the Primal Fear.

Lilly sprints past Daniel, eyeing the situation and scowling. This would not be easy, quick, or fun, but they had to try and get back to the Locus. She had had hoped it would have been an even split on guarding and seeing what this was about. Hopefully... Hopefully this wasn't a Lure.
She focused on the father and daughter though, if they wouldn't run and forget... Well, maybe knocking them on the head and taking his wallet would help the 'forgetting' part along. To bad she had to get there first.
Lilly sprints to a much closer distance, and is now, if she pushes everything she has, within striking range of the bystanders. Daniel will have to do that much just to get to the much closer furball that is taking place.

Jeremiah screams at the bite, what a stupid idea to punch. It takes only a moment and Jeremiah knows what to do. The only real option. He grins and then the grin expands as his body grows. Turning into a mouth full of teeth. Long sharp teeth in a jaw that is neither Wolf nor Man. With a strangled howl Jeremiah bites back into the wolf he had just weakly punched. Intent only on ripping the Anshega to shreds.
