"But why? It's not like she's going to donate anymore money to the fund. She was very generous at the last fundraiser." Alexandria brushes a redhair out of her way as she looks at her husband.

"She knows people, important people. The type that might want friends like us." Replies her husband as he parks the car. Always driving. It's not like Alex can't drive, he just likes too.

Alex's reply is flat. "Have you ever been stuck in a small room with her? I have no idea .."

"No, remember. This is all a game." The car turns off and a door opens.

Alex sighs as she steps out of the car and brushes off a loose strand of cat hair that had stuck to her dress. That cat had been so cute and then it started to shed everywhere. A calm though hopefully charming smile slowly spreads across her face as she follows her husband to the door. Politics. Something of his world, not hers. Alex has always preferred sociallizing publically and talking in back. Maybe it was is politics but to Alex its the sort of thing to keep her entertained while her husband builds his empire of friends.

The front door opens and Alex and her husband smile at the women just inside the threshold. A wave of smells wash over Alex as she steps into the house and prays that it doesn't get worse.
