Testing the Water

Weavebreaker heads into the bookstore, though books are the least of her concern. The Arrow is familiar with the danger shrouding the place, and as Arrow's often, decided to investigate. Written in Water has a turbulent past, and Weavebreaker intends to make sure that was past.

She is dressed casually, wearing a black graphic tee and some blue jeans. The ability to sense the Supernal weaves into her pattern, though she also makes an effort to change how her pattern appears to those that could perceive such a thing. Walking slowly along the perimeter, she peruses the selection of books, though her main focus fixes firmly to the other patrons.

Weavebreaker glances to a stocky fellow, sitting upon the read couch. He seems entirely oblivious to everything besides the contents of whatever book he is reading. Besides the gentleman, there is only one other soul; It is a young woman, diligently working to tighten up the displays and give a better appearance for the place over all. She is focuses on her given task, though is not oblivious to the presence of customers within the establishment.

Weavebreaker cannot help but feel drawn to the science section of the bookstore. She might have been here to gauge the the relative safety of the place, but anything that could help her pass Chemistry would just be a plus. With little traffic moving through the bookstore, she relaxes a bit to take in the selection that the Written in Water has to offer.

The Water was weird. Two years ago it was the premier Mage hangout spot; hell people would mingle with the npcs Sleepers and chat up with words like “Gnosis” and “Arcana” and “Spells” like it was nothing. But then for some reason people tended to not notice the Sleepers as they did their thing; and sometimes the book-shop was closed. Even if it was just a local version of Barns and Noble -- Coffee Shop and free wifi included.

And then there was the shooting, but that was almost a year prior. One would think that after the two months badpress eventually people would start filtering back in. And with the High Speech still Plain as Day to anyone with the Sight...

Maybe that was why the Awakened of Sacramento tended to avoid the place.

Her eyes were opened, but she had shrouded herself for the day; perhaps West’s paranoia was finally starting to sink in, after all other things already had, might as well add to the list. And a day off to do research was always the most fun thing ever.~ But she had to do it.

“Can I have something with Mocha in it, Donald.” she said to the teen over the counter.

Before she blinked, well...those weren’t in his aura before.
