Leave it to Jeremiah to find the way around. Steel had almost forgotten that his former alpha could do that.
As the team starts heading back, he glances at Jer and Kev. A twinge of guilt hits and he lets out a sigh.
"Sorry I just ran off like that," he apologizes to the two. "I just figured you were clear and..."
He trails off, before looking over to Samantha.
"Sam, right?" he recalls as he nods to the female. "Thanks for watching these two for me. Things are so messed up now and... I'm not so sure I'm helping."
He tries to force the feeling of claws ripping into flesh from his mind. Jeremiah was healed now, mostly at least, but the mental scars were still fresh in the rahu's mind. And then he just runs off while they're in the middle of healing?
Steel bites the inside of his lip, trying to keep the bitter taste down. Part of him is thankful that the trio just hadn't come across another fight while he'd been running off playing spider hunter.
