It had taken a bit longer than expected to find time for Miach in the Curator's schedule, but it had been possible in the end. Since she had seemed to have appreciated his punctuality last time, the Acanthus had come way ahead of the appointment, and was now leisurely enjoying a hamburger in the park with fifteen minutes to go before the time. No chance he would be late. He enjoyed every bite of it, taking care not to let any drop on his suit.
After he had finished his snack and licked his fingers, he put on some hand sanitizer, and felt better. A full belly makes for a more relaxed mind. Yet, his mind kept on swirling around and around about Primoria's cryptic parting words. "You have not completed your first initiation, return here in one month." Would it mean he would get initiated ? Told about it ? Pass a test about it ? None of the former, and only that he wasn't worthy, but she would still consider his request ? Only one thing was sure, he had only ten minutes left to go before he would know. The tall doctor walked into the Museum,and with a quick confirmation with Gina,then moved on straight to the head office.
He half-pondered not knocking on her door, since she would know he was coming before he did it, but chose to play it safe and polite instead.
