"Right, then."
Marcus picks up his glass to finish his Stella before he remembers that he hadn't ordered another. Setting the empty pint down, he gets up from his seat at the bar and starts to walk up to the newest King of Summer.
"You lot coming?"
After all, if they weren't here to swear the Freehold Oath, what were they here for... the free drinks?
Marcus Evan exits this conversation.

Marcus strides up next to Al-Adin.
"Nice to see you, Al."
The metalflesh once again renews his pledge to the freehold to yet another Summer King. Only time will tell if this one lasts any longer than his predecessors.

Al-Adin firmly grabs Marcus' hand and shakes it.
"Its good to see you!"
The monkey man's face morphs into a huge grin as he sees a long-ago friend again.

Justin nodded at Marcus' invitation, then, "Okay, I'm going with you."Raising a hand in a slight catch you later wave to the others at the bar, the Manikin followed the other Elemental as he went in search of their new leader.
Justin has moved on to the main Coronation thread.

Following Marcus as he made his way over to Brother Lucas, Justin found himself grinning as his favorite monkey-wingman gave his fellow Elemental a greeting worthy of the Prince of Joy. The fact that his simian buddy didn't do anything by half-measures only made Justin feel that much more at ease.
His grin faded as he realized the purpose of his visit to that part of the room. Brother Lucas awaited.
Standing quietly next to Marcus, Justin was feeling a bit....well, he hoped that Brother Lucas would see his silence as being good manners while he waited to be acknowledged.
Right....don't look too nervous, first impressions and all that, oh well you did that anyway when you spoke up maybe he's okay with that Spartan would have invited you for a drink after he thumped you on the shoulder or something but this guy isn't Spartan so who knows what he's good with.
Fidgeting with the collar of his shirt, Justin tried his best to not look too uncomfortable.

Morgan had sworn the oath in the Fall, so she didn't see the need to rewnew it early. Besides, there was a little too much tension right now. Duncan had been the popular choice for King, the Wyrd's decision otherwise had left a lot of folks upset, including a few that Morgan rather liked. She doubted she would be disrespectful to a sovereign (again) but her instincts saw the tension as a place of danger. Following those instincts were usually a good way to keep safe.
Her observation of the crowd revealed mixed reactions. Anger, mistrust, disdain, and weariness were obvious on quite a few folks, especially those that seemed to be the Summer Courtiers. But others, like Al-Adin, showed joy with most taking things in with calm indifference. At the bar she could make out Malory, and for Morgan it was clear the wolf was upset and probably in the former category. But, she also saw the manikin that had the clothing troubles before react poorly to the book's noisy demise. Oh, that is badbadbad. Worse then me. What, really? Yes. Best to help, Malory much very-strong and can handle herself good. She started to make her way over when Big Lou's lady friend, Mary something, arrived to calm the poor 'ling. While the fairest would probably be better at the social thing then her, that didn't mean Morgan couldn't offer to help.
Weaving through the crowd, she arrived at the pair and looked at Nova. The Beast put on a friendly smile as she started talking, "Um...hi. There are no monsters coming, just the book being a jerk. Not burning like a book should, nope, had to do something else. Probably the Wyrd, right? Heh, the Wyrd is really being kind of a dick tonight. So, uh, nothing to worry about with the book and the noise and it something isn't letting the Summer guys fight for the crown. Probably Wyrd again, heh-heh, or something but no violence is good anyway, yup-yes." Morgan's rambling was slower then normal, so her speech meant to calm Nova was easy to understand.
The raccoon was unsure how effective her words were though. There was something that had worked before that was easier to do then talking while on the ground floor. It had helped Juno so she figured: might as well make the offer. "Um, heh-heh. J-just a thought but this helped someone else when things were bad so maybe it will help you too if you want it. A-and it ain't rude if you say no either, so that is okay if you don't want it. Oh, should probably offer it, right? Heh-heh. Well, um, heh, here it is. Um, do you need hugs?"

Marcus nudges Justin in the shoulder as his fellow elemental stands silently before their newly-crowned king. The metalflesh wonders what the kid's waiting for... he should know how the coronations work by now. You show up, recite the oath and drink free beer. End of story.
"Alright, mate? You know what to do. What are you waiting for... an engraved invitation?"

Justin shook his head slightly in response to Marcus' comment, then, "Nah. I'm off my game a bit -- maybe all this Wyrd activity has been kind of a distraction. It's cool."
The Manikin concentrated, working through the mental logistics that led him up to making the decision that a Seasonal Alliance Pledge wouldn't contradict what he was already engaged with in terms of the Freehold Pledge, and it was a gesture of goodwill and trust if he tacked it on.
Carefully speaking the words, Justin agreed to the Seasonal Alliance Pledge, feeling a tug as the Wyrd endorsed his action.

ST Group NPC Post
As Lucas made his way into the crowd so likewise did the other four, each seemingly directed towards their own aspects of their own courts.
Betony Rue found Stripes ( Anubite25 ) and told him to appear in September before the end of summer at this very place for a task.
Katrin moved towards the Snow Hare ( Jack Tarra ) with a similar message.
The Flowering Queen of Spring found the former Joyeux ( Al-Adin ) and impressed upon him with a daisy from her dress to meet just as the others had.
And finally the White Dreds of Giana moved through the crowd towards Tally ( RockBane ) and told her to come by as well as the others.
In his own motion and the accepting of Seasonal Pledges Lucas made his way over to the bar and invited Marcus likewise to the same meeting.
This scene will OFFICIALLY CLOSE on Monday, you have from now until then to make a short narration of swearing the Seasonal Alliance Pledge (Mechanics are in the Freehold subforum), remember this costs 1 Will Power Point but you will be able to access shards (until the autumn coronation... and will otherwise be treated as a member of the freehold) and depart

Nova suddenly became nervous, the alcohol that had managed to find it’s way into her manikin’s hans seemed to shake as did she.
The words alone were enough to bring up the imagined Keeper, that horrible oath and contract that had left her trapped for god knows how long. She breathed and tried to calm herself, unfortunately the shaking didn’t stop so easily and she managed to swallow what she could of the drink, a slight nod to the Muse at her side.
Instead her eyes focused on the Lady in Flowers and the man who had hidden himself so completely from her eyes.

She paused as the constant reminder of what she was about to do, virtually sign herself over to another to take advantage of her.
It was horrible and affecting her.
“I...I...” she stuttered to herself as she tried to force the words out.
They stuck in her throat.

The words were loud like the trumpets that had only just faded from acutal sounds but were still ringing in her mind. Repeatedly like the lion’s roar, causing the shakes and startled movements to rush through her body which was swiftly growing more and more emotionally charged to answer the humming of the Scissors.
“I so Swear.” she managed out in a rushed whisper, but with enough meaning behind the words as she felt the bind of the Wyrd leaving a glowing brand around her wrist.
