Stripes nods at his queen's message. He also swallows very hard and tries to ignore his mantle flaring at her approach.

"I'll be here," he promises tracing a claw in an "X" shape over his heart.

Not an official pledge, but the meaning is clear. He doesn't need to renew his Freehold Oath until the Autumn Coronation he recalls. Though even the thought that it'll mark his second year in the freehold doesn't calm him.

First time working as Autumn's Paladin and he already has a task. Life is gonna be busy from now on...

As mentioned, Stripes doesn't have to renew until Autumn 2013. He'll stick around the buffet table until it's time to go home till then XD.

Mal scowled at everything and nothing in particular, fingering the whiskey glass in front of her, watching the amber liquid listlessly slosh back and forth.

She still had her misgivings about these sorts of pledges of fealty, especially in the current 'political' climate. She was as paranoid and slow to trust as any other of the Lost, perhaps more so! But it did not sit comfortably on her shoulders that the best alternative was to rely on some element of their fae affliction to act as an absolute arbiter and enforcer of good faith. But in the light of the current circumstance, she could see why some would need a concrete declaration of safety and unity, and the reassurance of thatlooming Faerie Sword-of-Damocles to back it up.

In the end, it was a non-aggression pact, not a declaration of servitude.

"You do not get rid of me that easily." she muttered determinedly, marking her assent before downing her neglected shot, replacing the ugly taste in her mouth with a worse one.

Things were different now. Things had changed in the last twelve months. She had changed. Sacramento was her home now. It was her territory as much as it was anyone's, and it would take more than a Dragon and an irritating Priest-King to drive her out of it...

Mary does as she'd planned, stepping up and swearing the full annual pledge as she'd said she would. She was not leaving this place any time soon.

Jason looked around at the other Lost for no particular reason, feeling a little less tense as he realized nobody was paying him any particular attention. He had hoped to be able to actually take the Freehold Oath, but the Seasonal Alliance Pledge would have to do. In a way, it carried its own benefits over the Oath. By merely taking the Pledge, if the Freehold Leadership ended up being even worse than he predicted it to be then he wouldn't be bound by the Wyrd to stay more than a season.

Still feels like I'm a bit of an outsider. Then again, when you're Lost, trust doesn't come easy. Can't say I blame them.

Without any further hesitation, the Hunterheart swears the Pledge, thereby tying himself to the Freehold for at least a season.
