A Bar Crawl Toward Dawn

Man, of course that comes up when I'm in the middle or writing a post. Urk.

Kassidy winced slightly as he entered the club and heard the music. Not that he strictly disliked top 40s... he shook his head and slid up to Cat at the bar, just as a vodka shot was set before her. Kassidy arched his eyebrows at it. "Vodka? I am not dealing with that hangover tonight, from either of us." he slid his upper body and twisted in a feline manner to give Cat a mischievous look that promised some wicked fun.

"Want to make everyone jealous?" They'd done such things before, dancing together and making the whole club drool. They could come back to the bar after a Dance, and K could buy people drinks... "Just one -"

He was cut off by a tap on his shoulder and a vaguely familiar voice "Rough day at work, miss?" It was the phrase more than the voice itself that made Kassidy turn his head in surprise. Oh yes, this man was familiar - Kassidy had tasted him before, "I definitely enjoyed your work last time...?"

Kassidy stared blankly at him, then shook his head. Of course this would happen in the Rack. Accepting the offer was out, despite the gnawing temptation at the benefits of accepting, but doing so would would break Domain law. "I'm not working tonight. Maybe some other time?" The man was clearly disappointed, but wondered off.

The realization that hs had just turned down a chance to feed and get paid for it slammed into Kassidy like a Bear's and he slumped down as if all his strings had been cut. He gave Cat a helpless desperate look, even knowing as he did that it was unfair of him to ask more of her tonight.

He had wanted to let her have fun, to enjoy the night, instead she was looking less than happy, and went he went to cheer her up, this happened. "Sorry."

It seems as though Claire has forgotten how to blend. The imposing brunette simply surveys the club as though it were her domain, using a brief stare down to avert a rather unwelcome male gaze she notices aimed for her. Apparently, between Dr. Swift's silence, Catherine and Kassidy being otherwise occupied with each other, and her inability to lawfully feed in this place, she is left with nothing of any particular interest to do here.

The tower of her disapproval seems to draw the attention of a few, but none want to linger around her as she simmers with annoyance. The crowd eventually regards her as terrible decor, and goes about it's mundane business. She was rather apparently dissatisfied with where the night had found itself in this moment, and did not care to be social any longer.

Catherine gave Kassidy the look that she saved for the rare occasions she was seriously pissed off. “He got the Vodka for you, not me.” she said thumbing at the dude who just wandered off. “Wanted me to deliver it to you, it is just a shot.”

The bitterness was still in her voice, hard and sharp, despite Kassidy’s dejected look from a lost chance for cash and blood.

“The night is coming to an end.” she said with a statement of observation, “You can always get more later.” She found herself looking at the silent statue in the middle of the MIX, after a moment finally realizing it was actually Claire.

The bard smirked, before that too slid off of her features. “Apology accepted, may we now blow this pop stand?”

As the short night draws to a close, the gathering too eventually ends. Dr. Swift bids each of the other Kindred good night before finally making his way back home to seek his Haven before the dawn.
