After the Azlu fell Tony gave his full attention to Firebringer. More accurately, Tony watched the halberd with a great deal of concern. As the Alpha fell Tony's ears perked up and an expression of obvious relief floods over him.

'Praise Luna I'm not dead!'

Tony was use to fighting thanks to the Crusaders. The spider spirit didn't bother him nearly as much as the spirits at the Tur, but an Alpha with that many Glory brands and a halberd falling into the Death Rage scared him straight. Thankfully Daniel took care of it in one brutal blow, and resisted the Death Rage himself. An impressive display from a new arrival.

As Steel mentions the Azlu, Tony could only shrug. <<Finish it if you want.>>

[Princess]

When it becomes clear to her that no more urgent Rage matters need to be addressed, she stands back to allow the medics to do their work. It was not hers to mend the fallen, and she made no pretense of it.

It's not like she was any good with first aid, anyway. Certainly not by definitions of first aid that didn't involve wrestling.

Elaine's head, still bestial, bows up and down at Steel's suspicion. In the true speech, she hits a space between quiet growl and a hint of baying, <<We rend it apart. Help me.>>

She proceeds, with his assistance or not, to make the Azlu's carcass entirely and irrevocably incapable of doing anything else but rotting. It looked like this grass could use some fertilizer.

[Firebringer]

The last of Firebringer's Essence floods through his body, pulling him back to consciousness.

Within seconds, the Meninna nearly wishes it hadn't. Pain flares through his body, causing him to nearly black out again. There's a moment of disorientation, and then he remembers. The torrent of rage and bloodlust. The metallic scent of blood that even now calls to him, offering a promise he dare not accept.

Slowly, he climbs to his feet, wincing in pain and wobbling, even on four legs. Eyes flick between those present. <<Thank you.>> The words come out harsh and distorted, through a throat never intended for First Tongue.

More memories. Fighting. Running. Within seconds, his body swells to the larger Urshul with a flare of agitation. <<Aeneas and that pup. They're still caught in the web.>>

As Elaine sinks her teeth into the Azlu's throat, to finish the beast, to rend and tear with great force, she very quickly regrets it.

The Azlu's body Explodes, instantly decomposing into thousands of tiny and large spiders which fly everywhere, including two tarantulas that are now in her mouth, struggling to get out. The rest of the spiders are fleeing in every direction. With a large mound of dead spiders occupying the space formerly taken up by the body of the azarath.

If you are killing spiders, narrate your attacks, and just roll one die, 10 again.

Elaine spits the tarantulas out of her mouth with apparent disgust, proceeding to stomp on as many of the still living things as she can. She doesn't seem to have a very good handle on that part of the task, however.

To Firebringer's suggestion, she concurs, <<Yes. They will need help.>> She also seems the type who might be more helpful going to make sure Aeneas is safe than flailing around at bugs.

Jim is about to ask Firebringer about his wolf problem, when suddenly spiders. Everywher.
"Gah!" He shouts out in surprise, before firing a few well placed shots at some of the bigger ones, causing them to explode beautifully.

After the spiders have cleared, Jim looks at the remains of the scouting party. <<Right, lets go get them then.>>

As Firebringer wakes up, Daniel turns to him and simply bows his head. The exploding spider startles him, but just barely:

<<"We should leave them. Can't get them all and the remaining will fight and grow.">> - complex concepts come hard to the wolf in Urshul as he has to growl, bark and shake his tail all over the place. Apparently annoyed, the Rahu switches to simpler sentences.

<<"Maybe more Azlu, but the flying man said 'tenant'. Hopeful.">> - Daniel turns in the direction of the Locus preparing to take point. He waits for their alpha to signal the march though.

Steel tries to join in the spider stomping, unfortunately nearly twisting his ankle in the process. He scowls as several of the little fuckers scurry away from him.

<<Yeah fine, you'd better run!>> he shouts after the fleeing pests.

He pants a bit before hearing Firebringer get up. The words of the unofficial alpha ring in his ears, but Steel looks around with a scowl.

<<How far is the web?>> he asks curtly. <<Jer, Kev and that other girl... Samantha? They're still not here, after all.>>

Despite outward appearances, he's getting worried. Jeremiah was still undergo the healing rite when he ran off after all. It's starting to look like he might have (very foolishly) left his packmates without any support.

[Firebringer]

Firebringer stares at the scattering spiders with contempt. If he'd been in better shape, perhaps he could've caught enough to matter. As it was, even the thought of trying his hand at whack-a-spider sends him wincing in pain.

Instead he turns to address Steel. <<Those three can handle themselves for now. Whatever has them held up, it isn't a big enough deal for them to have called for help. The Azlu's prey don't have that luxury. The nest is two minutes out, maybe three, and right now, it's where we are needed.>>

Not in the mood to deal with a protected argument, he turns and begins to lope toward the nest, doing his best to ignore the agony which accompanied each footfall.

[Princess]

Elaine wanted to turn around and go find Sam. But she also knew that Sam was much more intelligent and capable than this Aeneas fellow had seemed, which presented her with a choice. Besides, Samantha knew how to yell.

Her yelling would have turned Elaine around on a dime.

This time, Aeneas seemed to be in luck, though, as she pounded off after Firebringer, who did seem to be the Alpha in these parts. And she should follow his lead.

Nope. She was going to find her friend. The word 'should' can fend for itself tonight.

<<Go with him>> she barked at any stragglers who loitered about with a wave towards Firebringer, and padded back towards Samantha and whatever had held her up with her full speed.
