Jason held his right hand close to his body and silently wished he had learned a Contract to regulate his body temperature. There was still a dull pain and he was quite certain that there wasn't proper blood-flow. Mental note: punching those things is a bad idea. I should probably invest in a knife. An iron knife. He put his hand into his left armpit to keep it warm as best he could, shivering slightly from the jolt of cold when he put his hand on his torso.
As he moved away from the scene as best as he could, he leered at the man. "Thanks for the help. Now could I get some answers?" Jason was doing the best he could to moderate his tone but given his recent shocks it wasn't a successful endeavor. "Firstly, what the hell was that thing? It sure as hell didn't look like it belonged on Earth, I can tell you that much." Given their situation, Jason wasn't necessarily in a position to demand answers especially when he gave such meager thanks to the people who had just saved his life. In his mind the situation could have been handled without interference eventually. Whether that was true or not remained to be seen.
